At least the products in the other stores work..and the clothes and socks don't rip.. lol

Blue, I hate to tell you this but walmart sells the exact same products that other stores sell..

They're cheaper because they have much more buying power since they have thousands of stores, so they can command bigger discounts from the manufacturers and suppliers.

Well then staying out of the forum would be a good idea if you're not able to talk to people nicely. Just sayin...

I have a friend that works there. She says she hates it and they treat their employees like bubbles (bubbles is my fill in curse word)

I literally just bought a package of socks from there lol. And they are ones that I've never tried before, but I always buy my socks from walmart and they haven't given me problems. My socks last years without holes. I buy fruit of the loom or hanes. Maybe its the women's socks that rip, IDK. The mens socks are pretty sturdy.

I think the women's socks are probably made of thinner material. In fact, I'm like 99.9999% sure of it, so I'll believe what you said about them..

EVERY SINGLE appliance I have EVER bought from Walmart, has either been defective, or just not worked at all.

EVERY package of socks I buy from there rips out after literally only a week or two..

EVERY piece of clothing I've bought there has ripped after only a short time.

Therefore, WALMART SUCKS.. lol
WALMART SOCKS? I believe that they're made in China.

I'm a regular at Walmart and buy all sorts of things there.

I've looked at their shoes and wouldn't recommend them. I usually avoid fresh produced there as well.

I've had little problem with clothes. Of all the clothes I've purchased, I recall 1 sock with a tear. I'm guessing it got caught on something somewhere along the line. As for the rest of the clothes I've purchased - and to the shock of the Walmart haters - the stuff wears out over months/years!

What I don't like most about Walmart is the long lines, dodging other customers, and the sometimes unfriendly employees. I avoid a majority of this by shopping in the evenings.

As a regular shopper who appreciates Walmart, and one who has a significant other(i.e. - gf) who works in management there, some of the comments in this thread are irritating.

Ya,my hubby worked in management too,he was over three departments. No big deal, some like shopping there, some don't. Its not a personal insult so dont take it that way.

I've known a Manager, Assistant Manager, Department Manager, and three associates who have been employed at Walmart.

Of them, only the Department manager complained about the company in that way.

I have heard that Walmart treats it's employees bad, but I don't have a lot of evidence to back it based on my conversations with people I've known who have worked there.

The Walmart I used to work for has a reputation for treating employees badly. On the other hand I also worked in a Walmart that treated their employees with respect. I guess it depends on the top management on how well to treat the employees as they set the tone. From my observations the department managers are poorly paid and are run ragged.

I buy my shoes from walmart. I work on my feet so I wear them out quickly. A pair of shoes usually last me about 4 months.

A friend of mine once told me that if I got a better pair of shoes from a real shoe store, theyd last longer. So I did. I got a 60$ pair of shoes from an actual shoe store.

Guess what? They lasted me a couple of months : p

I have not had any problem with walmart quality, they seem to be about the same as everything else : p
