No, no, take a breath haters, not Trump..............Obama, goodness.........

Obama went to Milan to speak at a Climate Change Conference, so? He took a private jet to get there, and a 14 car convoy from the Airport to his Hotel.

You just can't make this stuff up......... :)

[h=2]Former President Barack Obama jetted to Milan, Italy on Monday for a speech about climate change.[/h]After the ex-president enjoyed his flight to the famous Italian city, he hopped in an SUV in a 14 car convoy direct to his hotel, according to the Daily Mail.

Obama is delivering the keynote speech on climate change at ‘Seeds and Chips – The Global Food Innovation Summit’ and will host a panel with his former White House chef Sam Kass.
The president will likely urge the United States to remain in the Paris Climate agreement, a key part of his presidential legacy on the subject.

I have no esteem, whatsoever, for Obama, but we really should be fair about this.

I have never heard of an ex-president traveling on commercial jets with the rest of us. And they are still given full SS protection. It might be required, I dunno.

And, which people wanted to be at the airport to meet him, was not his call. And all those people needed transportation to the speech site after the landing. This is seldom done by hiring a bus, or telling them to take the subway.

I've planted enough pine trees to cover my carbon footprint. I didn't plant them with that in mind. I thought that they would make a nice retirement income enhancement. The government gets its share in taxes, the environment gets its share in carbon dioxide abatement, and I get my share in income, and a great hunting area. The animals get a sheltered area. We all win.

Why do we need a climate conference? It's like most of Washington DC. The generate enough hot air to melt the ice caps.

I had the same thoughts. How many ex world leaders do you see queuing for a Bus?

I agree about the security aspects when former Presidents travel, and there being a need to provide adequate protection for them, and it should be.

I also agree it does not go down well when he takes advantage of his position to earn hundreds of thousands of dollars telling us we are not worthy of the same security.

If I were able to play for free at the Masters because of my Employers generosity, I would not stand before the crowd and tell them they are not to walk on the grass.
