"I see it as an important statement of community, that we take each other's faiths seriously,"
I kinda don't think they are :p

"We call it the Old Testament, and Muslims also claim the Bible."
Muslims believe in the Old Testament? The book where Jews are God's chosen people? Man how dumb are these guys

Thankfully a church building is not the same as "the church"

it's all part of the "Coexist" movement that has been going on. It's a shame christian leaders won't speak out against it. People these days are more worried about not offending man than God

Episcopalians are an offshoot of RCC. A "Christian" pastor worshiping Allah shows how utterly ignorant they are, though they are without excuse, and are held to a higher standard.

Man, its too bad these guys dont know anything at all about Islam.

Quran 5:75 "Christ the son of Mary was no more than a messenger; many were the messengers who passed away before him"

Quran 4:157-158 That they said (in boast), "We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah";- but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not:-
Nay, Allah raised him up unto Himself; and Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise

But hey, they think hes important in some way, right? I guess thats all that matters anymore.

I see the Coexist bumper stickers all the time here in liberal VT.
I like the concept, who doesn't want to coexist peacefully?
But when it comes to denying Jesus as God, well, that's when coexist becomes "fighting words".

The current world attitude here in America is we can and should all peacefully believe in our god (or no god in the case of atheists).

But when you say that there is only One God, and that Christianity is the only true religion and the only genuine relationship one can have with God is with the one and only true God, and that He is the only way to heaven and that He is KING and LORD over all, well then, watch out.

Exactly right about the whole coexist movement going on. Maybe the seven year peace treaty is right around the corner…

Unfortunately, it seems like many are trying to build a uniformed religion under the guise of coexistence and harmony.

That's cause most so-called "Christian leaders" are seeker sensitive that have need of receiving the personal adulation of others not to mention they would never want to do anything that cuts in to their offerings and book / CD / DVD sales.

Muslims believe in the Old Testament?
muzlims are taught to lie to further their cause in the koran and other muzlim writings, so this is just another one of their lies to deceive people in to believing we are serve the same god.

Just another trick of the devil that more and more Christians are falling for cause they don't know what's in their Bible.

God does not want to... that's Who:

2 Corinthians 6:14-18
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

Maybe the seven year peace treaty is right around the corner…
Prolly is. Trump says his boy harry krishna (whatever his son in law's name is) is going to obtain a peace deal!

Best way to do that to earn presidential legacy is... give in to muzlim demands

Your quoting old testament. The new testament supersedes the old in many ways.
God wants us to obey the laws of the land as they do not compromise our relationship and worship of Him.
We can inter marry races. It is probably not a good idea to marry a nonbeliever.

Then you should read the article from Charisma News!
I cant see that Christians and Moslems pray to the same God!

Never said they did, one bad decision by the leaders of one church,
doesn't affect an entire domination. Plus charismatic is not the same as
Pentecostal anyway.

Its like saying just because some Germans give a round of applause when their
plane lands, must mean all Germans are terrified of flying and the pilots
have drinking problems. :D

Sweeping generalisations lead to wrong conclusions.

It sounds like the ecumenical movement, this promoting of unity regardless of one's beliefs.

Rome is the author of it. This idea of accepting muslims originated with Rome, and is being embraced by some protestants, so they're just following Rome.

Interesting is that even in their catholic catechism their contradictions can be seen...

(Quotes from catholic catechism)

841
The Church's relationship with the Muslims."The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind's judge on the last day."[330]

"Outside the (catholic) Church there is no salvation"

846
How are we to understand this affirmation, often repeated by the Church Fathers? Re-forumlated positively it means that all salvation comes from Christ the Head through the Church which is his Body:

Basing itself on Scripture and Tradition, the Council teaches that the (catholic) Church, a pilgrim now on earth, is necessary for salvation: the one Christ is the mediator and the way of salvation; he is present to us in his body which is the Church. He himself explicitly asserted the necessity of faith and Baptism, and thereby affirmed at the same time the necessity of the Church which men enter through Baptism as through a door. Hence they could not be saved who, knowing that the Catholic Church was founded as necessary by God through Christ, would refuse either to enter it or to remain in it.

Fascists and rascists believe that people worship different Gods, and yet with love in our hearts whether we are Christian or Muslim, we know that there is only one God but many name and view him differently. And those who view God by words alone, or by hearsay alone, are those who become extremists of their own truth, separate from God, separate from you, separate from them, and will try to encourage division too.
