As a Marine this really moved me and brought tears to my eyes....The day I graduated Marine boot camp (MCRD San Diego Nov. 27 1985) I flew home and stopped by my grand parents home....My grandfather who was a WW2 vet who had landed in Normandy and fought all the way across Europe to Germany ran in and got his Army Uniform and put his top on and ran out and got a picture with me with his arm around me...he said he was proud of me.....at the end of the day...He and this man in the article deserve the honor....they are the real heroes....

People take for granted the hardships, heartbreaks and difficulties the veterans go through....SEMPER FI to ALL who helped and continue to help this honorable man.......!

This isn't a long read, and it will move your soul. We all need a bit of good news in this day and age, that is why I wish to share this with you.
May HaShem bells the men that go the extra mile.

Fort Worth Police Go Above And Beyond To Help Elderly Vet In His Time Of Need
Excellent example of public service. It should also remind us that there people in our own community that just as much in need of our assistance as this vet was.

Check on your elderly neighbors often.

Thanks for good news.

this example of Loving Your Neighbor as yourself has brought tears and hear-ache at the same time -

these types of situations should not even be on the block - all of the so called 'churches' that are on
every corner should have already taken care of these problems...they're the ones who should be going
house to house in order to take CARE of those who have served/worked all of their lives and make an
effort to support and take care of all of their needs...instead of trying to convert them to another
religion...

just shows us where this world's priorities are and who this world serves...we could tell so many
terrible and fateful stories that those who have gone before us have had to suffer...

we have a woman in our neighborhood who has offered and 'served/cleaned' her 'church' for many decades -
she has recently become a widow and definitely needs assistance - her 'church' doesn't even pay
to have her grass cut, and the one who cuts it is a relative...she is in need, and has children who
are well off, but guess what? she has to pay her bills, such as they are - also, she hangs her
laundry out on the line, and ALL can see it!
