So a family member sent this link to me. She knows enough to know that allah and God are not the same and that Islam says Jesus is not Gods Son. So Im filling her in on some details. Here is the link,any thoughts?

Interfaith service connects Nova Scotia church, mosque - Nova Scotia - CBC News

"Yes, the prophet was in defensive battles, wars were waged against him and he defended himself and his community. But he is the prophet of peace and he brought peace and even his enemies, he pardoned all of them," he said.
Boy, thats not true.

And I dont really understand any of this. I mean, what did they talk about? What was the point of the interfaith service?

I read one comment on the link here-

"It's as if it was my house of worship — my own home. I felt so comfortable there. I really felt the spirit of God with us today as we're forging this friendship, this brotherhood," said Al-Qazwin.
"God wants us to replicate this all over the world."
I dont believe any serious Christian or Muslim would agree with this. I mean, yeah, we love our neighbors and all that, but practicing worship together, no.
Both the Bible and the quran deny each other, even if the god of the quran claims to be our god, the god of the quran proudly proclaims that he is ABOVE "having a son", which literally denies Jesus Christ.

I dunno, other than some virtue signaling, Im not really sure what the point of this is. Of course Muslims and Christians can get along, we do it on a daily basis, there is no great war between the two other than the Muslims who believe in the commands to make war with the unbeliever as the only way to guarantee salvation. But for either to claim they are following the same god is denying the doctrine they place their faith into.

Either Jesus was the Son of God who died on the cross for our sins, or He was merely a prophet of allah who came to say worship allah only. He was not both.

I am strongly against any such cooperation.

It makes world confused about what way is the right way to God, when we join together with false prophet and false religions.

Don't really understand why a Christian church would want to celebrate the end of
Ramadan.:confused:.

What is Ramadan? • ChristianAnswers.Net
Rick Warren has, for years, been a huge proponent of interfaith, particularly with Muslims. If you forgot he was the author of the wildly popular Purpose Driven Life and is pastor if a megachurch in southern California. So it's nothing new.

Building bridges is one thing, worshipping a false God is another matter entirely.
The Muslims must be thinking we have all gone soft, they probably think they are
converting the Christians.

Never read the book nor paid much attention to him. I know there are communities where churches have gotten together for years,but when they start saying Islam and the Christian God is the same,not going to tolerate that.

2 Corinthians 6:14-18 comes to mind.

Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness? Or what harmony has Christ with Belial, or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever? Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said,
“I will dwell in them and walk among them;
And I will be their God, and they shall be MY people.
“Therefore, come out from their midst and be separate,” says the Lord.
“And do not touch what is unclean;
And I will welcome you.
“And I will be a father to you,
And you shall be sons and daughters to Me,”
Says the Lord Almighty.

This was a United Church of Canada. They have been apostate since the 1960's. They ordain married homosexuals and atheists, most fly pride flags.

Not a Christian church in any way, shape, or form! A celebration of humanism, no idea what is wrong with the Muslims, well, besides being lost!

End of story!
