Default Grammar Matters, even on Twitter

President Trump really needs to hire a Tweet writer.

Did Donald Trump really mean to say this?
2 Peter 1:5 Because you have these blessings, do all you can to add to your life these things: to your faith add goodness; to your goodness add knowledge; 6 to your knowledge add self-control; to your self-control add patience; to your patience add devotion to God; 7 to your devotion add kindness toward your brothers and sisters in Christ, and to this kindness add love.

I'll send $100 to anyone who can prove they never made a typo.

I counted a dozen mistakes in this one post, alone. I suspect you would probably give him the wrong spelling of, "me."

How do we know he hasn't hired a tweet writer?
We seek him here, we seek him there,
    Those Frenchies seek him everywhere.

Yes, truly a full 12. (And it could be more. I gave you a "pass" on two that might have been questionable.)

There were four in your last post.

I agree to an extent. I don't feel the need for perfect punctuation, but the constant use of short hand when typing on a keyboard or just a total lack of the English language from a person that speaks it as their primary language is hard to deal with for me. Sometimes i literally can't figure out what they are saying.

of course it also depends on which "English" language you use,the American version or the original England Version, because say someone says I like my local "habadashery"(sorry even the auto dictionary can't spell it!)
you could think wait I thought they spoke english, not knowing that some words like that mean things similar to our words here in America,"habadashery" means a men's clothing store in England" where as we here in America would just call it a clothes store so grammar and punctuation aren't the only difficulties when communicating online!

I find your statement extremely hurtful. I have always struggled with my speech and that includes writing, speaking, and grammar. Mine has to do with the fact I couldn't hear very well as a kid and as I developed it came out in school. So please don't judge someone about the way they put sentences together. I was called retarded and never amount to anything besides stay at home cooking and cleaning. Well, I ended up proving them wrong.

I believe grammar is somewhat being overrated by some folks. I think some of the grammar movement people are being awfully close to pedantry at times. What some people label bad grammar is another person's idiomatic language. It can say a lot about where people are from, their social position etc etc.

I think it is wonderful whenever people dare write like they speak. Me,on the other hand, I'm slowly evolving into a more boring and correct way of expressing myself.
