I don't know if there was a thread about his going for Parole or not...........I just wanted to post what I think should happen.

As for him personally, he has a date with The Lord God, and He will judge OJ and meet out his punishment.

When I heard he was trying for parole, I thought:

What should happen is the NFL, and ALL Professional Sports Organizations......Baseball, Basketball, Soccer......whatever, should BAN the number 32 from ever being worn! That number remains permanently associated with OJ, and is tainted forever with the blood of two innocent people.

The NCAA should also do this across the spectrum of all the Sports they manage. Even down to High School and lower!

May sound stupid, or meaningless..........but it was my first thought........I don't know how any athlete could even WANT to wear the number 32.

anyway............

Heisman Trophy winner Marcus Allen was also #32 - he also was the guy who drove OJ in the Bronco.

I don't know about banning that number tbh. Magic Johnson wore 32 as well and others probably so OJ isn't the only one associated with it. Magic is a much bigger icon than OJ. You have the right to your opinion but again many people looked up to Magic and banning a number across sports that OJ happened to wear may not be a good idea. However banning him from ever being able to attend sports events may be suitable

Most people have no idea what OJ's number was anyway. I didn't and I used to like him when did those Hertz commercials back in the 70's and when he was in The Naked Gun movies.

And I do believe he killed Ron and Nicole.

Franco Harris from the Pittsburgh Steelers (my personal hero when I was young) wore the number 32.

I don't think I like this thread and it's suggestions.

Oh, and Zero, I have nothing but love for you, but Allen Cedric was the driver at the time of OJ's arrest.

Check yourself bruh. :D

As long as the society worships celebrity this is a problem you will have to face. I see little value in endeavoring to ban the number 32. Some will simply see it as racist.

I think the parole board members and the defense attorneys for OJ ought to have him as their house guest and allow him to baby sit their children and grandchildren.

Apart from that OJ needs to receive the grace of God and admit his whole life has and continues to be in conflict with Gods holiness and will result in eternal condemnation.

He was not convicted of murder. He was convicted on an armed robbery charge. 33 years on an armed robbery charge is a bit excessive

It is obvious that the judge that sentenced him thought that he was guilty in the murder trial so he increased the sentence to an inappropriate level relative to the conviction. I believe that O J Simpson was definitely guilty of murder. Being found not guilty is not the same as being declared innocent. However, I agree with you that the sentence for the armed robbery conviction by itself was excessive.

He was probably guilty but due to police misconduct... that glove was planted... and a police chief with a history of racism didn't help matters either..
He got away with murder
