Just a quick bit of insight I'd like to share about trying to argue with someone who is biased....

I honestly try to be impartial and fair in my judgment of politicians (or anybody), but its apparently very difficult for many to not be biased. The problem with being biased is that a person can no longer be fair and impartial. Everything for them is about, "How can I make the other person look bad?" They are not really interested in hearing what you have to say.

Instead of acknowledging any valid point that you make they will deflect your answer by bringing up something else that's not directly related to the subject at hand just so they can try to corner you into saying they are right and you are wrong.

They completely ignore any valid point that you made and just continue playing their little game of 'uncle'. Only their points are what matter to them, not yours.....

That is why it is futile to argue with someone who is biased.. and why it feels like you are being attacked... because you are!! It wasn't a true discussion... you were being ambushed!

2 Timothy 2:23 says:

Again I say, don't get involved in foolish, ignorant arguments that only start fights. (NLT)

But refuse foolish and ignorant speculations, knowing that they produce quarrels. (NASB)

But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes. (KJB)

That is all...

just a quick side note - some people have no interest in facts. you can show them facts and accurate information all day, they don't care, they just keep believing what they believe......

how certain people come to the conclusion on what constitutes a "fact" is ridiculous

for example

some people will take a verse
have preconceived assumptions

and apply it to things that are hardly related

but then say "it's in Gods Word"
