I refuse to believe that for all the money that was thrown at Reagan's SDI program in the 1980's that there aren't some very sophisticated, non-nuclear, weapons systems in orbit that could be deployed. I'm specifically thinking something like the "rods of the gods" where a telephone-pole length and size of tungsten is propelled at Mach 25 to the target and does the equivalent damage of a nuclear weapon with NONE of the radioactive fallout. Kinetic weapon, baby!
