Little fat boy has five demands from the US

North Korean leader's demands

1. Guarantees of no overthrow by U.S.

2. Keep nuclear weapons

3. Lift sanctions

4. Remove U.S. troops from South Korea

5. Negotiate formal end to Korean War

IMHO, He might get 1 and 5. He will get 2 by default unless he uses them. 3 and 4 are no go from the start.

something Americans need to understand, especially with dealing with different society differences,
'over-there', in most other countries, it is always about 'losing or keeping 'FACE-SHAME'...
there is no 'in-between with them, they 'don't 'back=down', or they think ancestrally they will lose
their shame/false honor'...
we pray that our country understands this, for they will NOT back-down, because of this deception
that has been bred into them and alas brought into,.,. that is why his people don't think or understand
that he is a real 'nutter', because this is all that he/they have ever know, generationally...

I understand your drift but when talking about Korea it doesnt quite fit. Both Koreas have the same pre war history. The war split families apart. The whole thing is to do with Political power. I suspect many older North Koreans know they are ruled by a nutter but prefer staying alive rather than rock the boat.

while it is true that some Asian cultures consider loss of face to be worthy of death, NK has not shown this. Historically, whichever little fat man has been in charge will puff up, make threats, shoot off rockets, then make demands for what he will "accept" as a bribe to get him to sheath his sword. Historically, they don't get everything they want, but they back down anyway.

So far, nobody has seen fit to spank them into submission, and their threats (IMO), while just as spurious as before, involve a much more dangerous threat.... which makes it more important to spank them, sooner than later, otherwise, somewhere down the road, one of the little fat men will decide playtime is over.

Well, it appears that Lil Kim believes that Trump will not hesitate to bring out the board of education...

He basically said "we'll be watching you! Let THAT be a lesson to you!" as he backed away, muttering.

Reminds me of the old Monty Python bit.... python.png

It's my understanding that the only reason we have not occupied Korea and killed this Kim Jun whatever guy is because China is backing him. Our economy will take a huge hit if China decided to sanction us

Thankfully, so would China's....

I don't know what condition the south Korean army is in, but I think we should use this last little "threat" to aerially destroy most of the military and communication capability of Lil Kim, and let south Korea sweep through and take over for themselves. If there were not US boots on the ground, it might not be perceived as a direct US regime overthrow.

Not sure what China would respond with if it was strictly a Korean civil war.. China and the US could be the chaperones on each side.
