It actually has nothing to do with white supremacy. It's about you wanting to revise the history of communities that lost many of their citizens in a war that divided a country. Many of those same people never owned a slave, and lost everything they had to a rabble of carpetbaggers. Most of the people that they honor with statues spent the remainder of their lives working to lift the communities out of the poverty that resulted from the war. Maybe you should spend a little time in the communities where the statues are erected, and get to know the people. Tearing down statues does not change history. It's just a means to revise history and twist it to suit an agenda. What's next?

By most accounts many of these men were men of integrity and honor. They are disparaged today by men who have no integrity and no honor.

The civil war was not about slavery. Slavery was the political issue used by Washington politicians to justify compelling the confederacy to submit to their authority. It was about power and control not slavery. Slavery was a convenient cover for the real reason.
