CEO Warren Buffett says why he is "Not in the business of attacking any Presidents"

Saw this on the CNBC website today:
A video of Warren Buffett stating why he is "not in the business of attacking any President's."
In the CNBC video-clip, Mr. Buffett, who is 87 years old, and who is reportedly soon to make a nearly $12 Billion trade in stocks, and who made his first stock investment under Theodore Roosevelt, stated that he had done business under "one-third" of Presidents, or fourteen out of fifteen. Mr. Buffett, who was a supporter of Hillary Clinton, also said that,

"This country will move forward," but that "it's important that government functions well." "It's important [that] [pause] both from the government side, and from the private side, that they try and figure out how to maximize the degree as to how this country moves forward."

He also added that if his candidate doesn't win, which he stated has happened "probably half the time" over 20 years, that "I'm not gonna take my ball home."

As well as, "we have a president, and we have North Korea," apparently references to how important it is to be united under a President during times of crisis.

I've been thinking about President Trump's statements regarding the recent racial events in Charlottesville, and, while out of time on this computer to research it further, I believe that Mr. Trump will eventually attempt to stabilize his remarks when he realizes the importance of doing so to social stability in America.
I still support him as president, and see his mistakes as more a lack of experience with leadership such as the presidency and how it differs from a large company, which Mr. Buffett seems to support as well.

With 2 minutes left on this computer, the Bible emphasizes the importance of good financial stewardship, but also emphasizes moral values as being more important.

Re: CEO Warren Buffett says why he is "Not in the business of attacking any President

The Parable of the Talents
(This is taken from: "Biblegateway.com; Matthew 25:14-30)

This parable of Jesus is clearly directed at being good stewards of financial assets as President Trump has been as a CEO, and as Warren Buffet also has been. Talents refer to financial assets, but, can also be compared to stewardship of other kinds of gifts, such as spiritual, ministry, leadership, teaching, good parenting, good management of a home creating a safe place for children to grow up healthy, good stewardship of a church, good stewardship of a marriage, children, business, farms, company, government offices, and many others unlimited gifts in this life, which are given freely to be used for good purposes.
A good example that Dr. Neil Anderson gives in his book, "The Bondage Breaker," is that if a parent gives a car to one of their children, they can either use the car to drive to church, to do good things, or to sell drugs, etc...
Stewardship matters. Clearly to God, as can be seen by this dramatic example of a steward who feared his master's accounting so much that he just hid his coin in the ground and didn't invest it or use it to pay it forward, or create something positive.
There is a great example in the movie, "Pretty Woman," where a real estate shark who used his wealth without accountability to just maximize profits without any concern as to how it effected the community, state or nation-- to just gobble up anything and anyone in their path, like some predatory corporations (some are very accountable to the earth and society, since it is good for the world and also good for business). The real estate shark has real encounter with a real lady, similar to when Jesus met Mary Magdalene, except it was a spiritual transformation, one of the most powerful in the bible, and decides to be a better steward of his assets, and makes friends with a kind father-figure business man who helps him learn how to build community, not tear it down, which is where the world seems to be at these days.

This parable especially applies to spiritual gifts, and true charity, on a personal and even street level, and the importance of not passing by, symbolically, as well as literally, suffering people right before our eyes, in our families, on the street, in the community, and especially applies to people we know and have an established friendship with or social contact of some kind, and becoming hardened to the point of winding up in Hell by putting self-indulgent wealth and other personal idols, before human needs, and God's love and Mercy. This is also found in Matthew 25, where those who consistently refuse to help others end up becoming a heart of stone. Most of us are not far from this frightening reality, and all of us are without God's help. No one can be truly good apart from God's Light revealed in Christ.

This passage (Matt. 25:14-30) clearly applies to financial stewardship as an example of how people will fare with other more important stewardships.

I believe President Trump is doing the best he can with an extremely difficult situation in a key point in America's history, if not the world, since many people believe, as I've been called to "prepare the way of the LORD," that the last days are either near, or upon us...but don't freak out and get carried away with with worrying about it, just obey God, and know that the righteous will be "carried away," to safety when the time comes. No one knows the day or hour, Matthew also says...but, Jesus also advised to be aware of the signs of the times.
Just live our lives according to the will of God, learning to trust and rely on the Power of the New Covenant as we walk in the free-gift of salvation in knowing Jesus and walking in His way. This is the humble assurance we have as true Christians.

Then we can rest assured that we will hear the comforting words of Jesus:

'Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’ [SUP]24

[/SUP]He also who had received the one talent came forward, saying, ‘Master, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you scattered no seed, [SUP]25 [/SUP]so I was afraid, and I went and hid your talent in the ground. Here, you have what is yours.’ [SUP]26 [/SUP]But his master answered him, ‘You wicked and slothful servant! You knew that I reap where I have not sown and gather where I scattered no seed? [SUP]27 [/SUP]Then you ought to have invested my money with the bankers, and at my coming I should have received what was my own with interest. [SUP]28 [/SUP]So take the talent from him and give it to him who has the ten talents. [SUP]29 [/SUP]For to everyone who has will more be given, and he will have an abundance. But from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away. [SUP]30 [/SUP]And cast the worthless servant into the outer darkness. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

Re: CEO Warren Buffett says why he is "Not in the business of attacking any President

Just a follow-up since no one is interested in posting--
I heard on Christian radio today how important it is hearing "well done," over "well said." This really hit home as someone who writes heavily more than an in person ministry at the moment. But, I'm also someone who lives the Gospel. But, that was a direct reminder from God directed at me since I happened to hear it on the radio. The Bible says, "The Lord disciplines those He loves."

I think another message of this parable is that if Christians just sit around on our a*[recliner]'s and preach to the choir, turn suffering people away from our churches because they have too many "issues," to fit into our cozy closed social clubs, or treat them like lepers, and preach about tithing, use peer pressure to get new converts to conform to our long-established versions of "religion," and church traditions, and worn-out church song jingles that can sound like used car ads, teaching weird deep theology like strange interpretations about the "Blood of Christ," to people who have no clue as to what this means, using peer pressure, or worse, shunning, to pressure people to conform to old worn-out misinterpretations that have turned deep Faith into shallow cliche's, or forcing the "insider lingo" on new Christians, they will continue to think we are all shallow confused nutcases who are obsessed with "stage-christianity," self-indulgent music worship only and emotional highs, and ranting on stages parading deceived ideas of what God's power is meant for, which is not to glorify men on stages, and can prepare people to be "left-behind."
But, many people, myself included, have experienced inspiring, moving worship in contemporary Christian worship, as long as it leads us, and empowers us to save the suffering people outside the church.

On the flip side, formal Christian worship can freak people out too.
I think the answer is to do what Jesus did-- He didn't start any Mega-churches, not that they are a bad idea if they lead to smaller personal fellowship, and not just Sunday "hit-and-run," Christians who are not prepared to confront the evils of the world.

I think He was showing us that the power of God's love is best found and shared in simple, humble, powerful human ways that do not lock it up in the spiritual bondage of personal idolatry, or institutional idolatry. And to stay on the subject of the post, ways that lead to responsible stewardship of assets and company and government management, communities, even nations, and healthy ways of living and international relations.
When people do these things, God blesses what we do individually and as part of a greater community.
Now, I need to get out there and get it done, instead of just saying it well. It helps to identify issues right, in fact, it's key to the solution. But, it doesn't help anyone if we ourselves don't take action, like the lame person in the parable who just thought they could flounder in life, or stall out, and not move forward, and be rewarded. Most of the time when I've done that, I've heard, "you're fired." Or, the more polite version-- "we've decided to move another direction." One where people give a ra*ts about what matters. But, God has always called me to keep moving forward, even today. I've been going through a lot of transitions, and said to God, "Ok, if I am to focus on ministry, I need an affordable hotel room, some funds to do God's work, and a supportive lady." Before midnight, I had the room, leftover funds, and was reminded of compatible relationships where God as seen as a faithful father or mother figure--parental authority--might be leading me.
Does God deliver? Millenium after Mellenium...
Does it matter? Apparently stewardship of humanity mattered to Jesus.
Does it matter to each one of us? Just ask those people in Heaven or Hell.

Just wanted to clarify here: It was the lady who met Jesus who was in need of help in the parable I referred to, not the Lord needing to change anything. What I meant was that it was one of the most powerful real relationship moments in the Bible-- so powerful that one man's bitter words sent him to Hell at the powerful command of Christ: "Silence! Stop judging her." and His words also implied the command, likely backed up by the gesture of pointing his hand, rightly accusing the accuser: "Leave My Presence."
Still think human relations don't matter?
And what we cultivate in our hearts that becomes real?
Who we allow in our presence?

If Buffet says he hasn't attacked Trump, he's lying... (granted this was before he was elected, but what difference does that make? Did his becoming president change Buffet's mind about him? LOL No way!!)

Thank-you, sir for your kind words, as an older brother figure that is lacking in my life. Well, we can't think our way into truth, but it must be revealed, and we must be listening and seeking. I think there is a verse where the Lord says, to those who are hearing and understanding, He will reveal more truth and revelations that we need to keep going forward in faith. If we just stay where we are, and don't grow in faith, why would God reveal more? And if we don't believe without seeing, then revealing more to us would work against us--

Not to promote Hollywood, but, it makes me think of the famous line in the football movie, "Jerry MaGuire," with Tom Cruise, Cuba Gooding Jr., and ReneZellwinger, (sorry if spelled wrong), where the outspoken and very real, African American Running back? "Rod" says to his agent:
"Help me, help you!! Help me, help YOU!!"
