I'm starting this thread for anyone who wishes to post the name Christian disaster relief organizations that he/she recommends for financial support.

I would like to recommend the SBC Disaster Kitchens. They will be on site during disaster recovery as long as necessary, providing up to 30,000 free meals a day for recovery workers. You can find more information at Southern Baptist Convention and donate at Hurricane Harvey Response.

I recommend Salvation Army.

I cannot NOT recommend Red Cross enough.

The Salvation Army helps physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

The Red Cross is 80% help and 20% ego. (The figures say 90%, but when an organization thinks one sandwich a day is "feeding hurricane victims," that's a problem.)
