Don Williams, aka "The Gentle Giant" died today.
Loved his music since I was a kid riding in my dad's semi-truck.

Also lost Troy Gentry, of Montgomery Gentry, in a helicopter crash.

I knew about gentry but not Williams. My dad use to play his tapes when we were kids. Knew all his songs by heart. I'll have to tell my father.

I'm sad to hear that Mr Don Williams has left us. I can literally hear him singing "Good Ole Boys Like Me" and "Amanda" as I type.

And, Don Williams was a professing, practicing Christian.

What a wonderful voice, and singer.

I don't know much about Gentry... I've heard a lot of their songs, but don't know anything about them.

I've seen Don Williams in concert at least twice..... my older brother has always been a HUGE fan of his.

Sad to hear about both of them....
