I find it funny, Kap supporters are boycotting because they support him and his haters are boycotting because they are offended over people protesting the Anthem. NFL can't win.. Both sides say "there are more important things and you have to take a stand" and if you are neutral you side with whatever side they disagree with. Screw that I just want to watch some Football.

No I don't side with the oppressors or do I believing in disrespecting the anthem, but I love sports. Does that make me a bad person?

one thing is for sure- kap got 20x the attention doing ( or not doing) what he did than he would have for being a q.b.

I quit watching the NFL over 20 years ago. I haven't missed it at all. I've found better ways to spend my Sunday afternoons.

You're evidently either a Cowboys fan or a Giants fan.
That makes you a bad person.

As an Outsider i find it very strange why the people of the USA even have the national anthem played at domestic sporting events?

I can understand if it is an international sporting event being played by two national teams, Like if the USA national baseball was playing a game against the Japanese national baseball team.. Playing national anthems in international games makes sense.. But domestic events?

The best thing the NFL could do is to stop having the national anthem played at their events.. End of controversy.. People can then just enjoy watching the football.. Which is what they,, in the end,, have come to see..

Hahaha, we have polar opposite views on this. I think if there was a time to NOT play the anthem it's when you compete against other countries. I am cool with it being played either way honestly. However, when it's a US sporting event, I think it's a great gesture to salute and give thanks to the men and women who have served the country to allow for the liberty to enjoy and attend the event.

As for people NOT standing... people died/served so they can have the liberty to NOT show respect or gratitude. I am personally against anyone sitting, but I'm for people having the liberty to do as they please as long as they aren't taking anyone's liberty away.

I wanted to boycott the nfl, and I haven't watched football in decades, and of all the seasons that they could have come back to LA, the Rams chose to come back NOW!

Personally, those Millionaire players who choose to disrespect our Nation, our Flag, our Anthem, AND the men and women who have fought and are fighting for these.......these Millionaire scumbags should be given a One Way Ticket to the Country of their choice...........and their US Citizenship REVOKED.

But, now, that's just me

When I worked, I had the liberty to say whatever I wanted. And my bosses had the liberty to fire me, if I chose to say something against their customer base.

If spoiled, rich, black guys want to protest the way cops treat blacks, (and we all know why cops treat them like that), then damn it -- start a foundation that teaches basic manners and responsibility to the feral youth! And do that in you're off time, not during work hours.

I was free to say anything I wanted when I worked. I was never free to waste my boss's money to pay me to spend hours evangelizing instead of doing the work. Well, I was free to do that too, but I would have been freer shortly after that because I wouldn't have my job anymore to hinder my freedom.

Whether they want it or not, football players represent the franchise, the city the franchise is in, and the country. They are free to keep basic civility about all that during working hours. Otherwise, they are free to try and collect unemployment, after being fired from a great paying job!

Last night, hubby decided to boycott the NFL, after the reaction of players to Trump.

Why not hit the teams allowing these actions where it hurts -- the wallet? See how long business is willing to pay for commercials if the customers aren't there anymore. It worked for Target and it worked for Starbucks!

BTW, can anyone clue me in on what Sunday afternoon is like, if hubby doesn't watch football? The last time this happened, there was a strike in the NFL. I forgot what that was like. lol
