I saw them and thought they were beautiful! My mom, aunts, and grandmother picked cotton...they also thought they were lovely. They are decorated for Christmas.

People like this need to get a life and stop ruining ours with their sensitivity. I heard a guy on youtube talking about SJWs and he said "**** your feelings!" I thought it was crass at first...but he's right. Even the Bible says to not place so much on your heart and feelings.

Truthfully, people who can scratch up even the slightest association to a minority in their background seem to have literally lost their minds about doing all they can to not only keep racism alive, but to promote it to the status of that being their entire identity.

These kinds of people will always see themselves as pitiful victims, and they will never rise above that status.

The cry for "equality" is seldom really that. It is more often simply envy of what another has...... no matter how hard that person (Black or White) worked to earn it.

And as we see all the time on TV, that envy consistently leads to destruction. They honestly would rather destroy the object of their desire than to let you have it while they are granted full opportunity to work to achieve the very same thing (or more) for themselves.

That sounds familiar... oh yeah, that's what satan does. "If I can't have one person's worship, at least I can try to ruin it so God won't get it."

Maybe THAT is the real spirit of the antichrist. Where God says to love others as He loves us and help others, the spirit of satan says if you can't have it yourself then destroy it so they can't have it.

EDIT: And... I just juked the thread. Great. Oh well, sorry y'all.

Yes, most people like that don't want "equality"... they want YOUR POSSESSIONS. And they don't want to work for them like you did. They want all of them given to them... NOW!

"Yeah I know how you feel. Being part Irish, I walked past a bag of potatoes at the grocery store and it totally triggered me. My ancestors are Irish. I had to go home and cry. Why would they sell potatoes knowing the history behind it? So unfair and HEARTLESS," Amanda Parker wrote.

Potato chips are especially offensive. How dare they make a
frivolous snack food mocking the plight of the starving Irish?

Take them horrible things down! They are just awful. How dare you drag up so many awful memories! Like getting my backside warmed for spending too much time under the shade, getting a cool drink of water after emptying my cotton sack, or having to re-chop several rows after everyone else went home, or sharpening all the hoes before supper. Then there was the final job that I got every year. I had to mow down the cotton stalks. There's nothing like being pelted by empty cotton bolls.

The worst invention ever was the cotton gin.

The greatest invention ever was the mechanical cotton picker, even if it too my father three years to start using it (the early machines left a lot of debris in the cotton and cotton behind)

Why would anyone find any beauty in them satanic cotton stalks?

in some ways, but we always have to 'look behind' the words and pray for discernment
in order to have a 'peace' about such things when we reply and try to help...

everything has 'multiple-sides/opinions/emotions/experiences/legacies,,,....

we should desire to learn and perceive as Christ has spoken to us in His own Words, once we are called...
it's all about Holy Love as opposed to carnal/worldly affection,..we have to learn
to differentiate, what Holy Love is and how to apply it according to Jesus' Words and actions...

this can only be done 'after receiving The Holy Spirit', else all else is but the donning/wearing 'mask'...

we've both 'picked' our share, and are over-whelmed that God has shown us this Truth...

Hobby lobby is just following the trend. I have seen cotton in the antiques malls where I have spaces so its been a starting trend for a few months. People are buying it for decoration and doing crafty type things with it. I don't think it will trend for long though. They are using it on Halloween displays too, making cobwebby looks and ghostly looks.
