He speaks his mind, is not afraid of doing it, And as commander in chief, has a right to defend the flag, the constitution, and the men and women who died protecting those two things

Granted, Maybe he should not have used SOB, but most people I know would have said worse.
We had a president that could care less about the flag, now we have one that defends it and people are complaining. You can't please people.

People supporting the freedom of these 'athletes' to protest forget one thing. They are not protesting on their own time. They are On The Job. Being paid by their employer. And part of that comes the responsibility to represent more than yourself, but also represent the company you work for. How many of you could be at work and decide to make public statements and protests while working? If this were nearly any other job they would be fired for their behavior. Not for their stance on the subject, not for wanting to protest, but for being a poor representative of the company they are a public figure for, as well as using their time being paid for personal causes. I mean these guys get fined if they 'showboat' for scoring a goal. Obviously the way they behave and act on the job is of importance. These guys have been fired for the things they've done Off The Clock. Because it looks bad for the company to continue supporting them. So there is precedence that what these people do on and off the clock can be punished.
People approve of it, though, because it's having no personal affect on their lives, but if an employee acted this way and it affected your life would you still support them taking a personal issue to their job?

If these men want to protest, i couldn't care less. But these 'men' sit in expensive stadiums, dressed in expensive gear, go home to their expensive homes and trophy wives, and think kneeling while they are working somehow means a thing. Why don't they act like employees that recognize their place of employment is not a platform, or the right time, to protest, just like the rest of the world. And instead drag their butts out of their million dollar homes, drive their $100,000 car to the streets and protest in the streets with everyone else? Why aren't they out there getting pepper sprayed, getting arrested? Because they have no real commitment to the cause. The things they do are always public shows that are hallow and are costing them nothing, but only gets them more attention.

This isn't a rights issue, it's a job issue, it's a PR stunt. Once these guys face real consequences for their stance, and doing so when they aren't being paid, then they'll show commitment. But for now they are spoiled brats taking no risks, just putting on a show that is changing nothing. At the end of the day not one single politicians choices will be affected by a few athletes refusing to stand in a stadium. It's not protest, it's pouting.

If they are in violation of NFL policy then why isn't NFL enforcing said policy?

You know dang well why they aren't enforcing it! They enforced it when Dallas Cowboys wanted to honor 9/11 victims. They enforced it when a player wanted to wear pink for his mother who had cancer, they enforced it when one of the players wore headphones that weren't a sponsor of the NFL. They haven't got the guts to enforce it now because they're afraid of being pegged as racist. Has nothing to with race, its about the leftists trying to start a race war.Simple as that.

To my knowledge there is no rule in the NFL that says players have to stand for the anthem

it is the same people. That should answer it all. They could care less about the flag either.

Trump won as a protest to the4 last 8 years. They are the ones who started this. The god fearing people who love this nation got sick of our president giving our rights, our freedom, and our ideas away, in order to bring in their agenda.

These same people also would rather have a traitor, and a murderer as president, all because she was a woman.

Answer me this, The Dallas cowboy owner wanted to stand up for the police who were killed in Texas, in his stadium during a game, but was not able to because the NFL forbade it and told him not to.

But it is ok for people to mock my flag because of a few bad apples. And that is perfectly fine?

sorry, but the NFL lost all credibility, It can not even be consistent in its own rulings.

They wanted to wear decals on their helmets which was a violation of NFL uniform policy. So as long as they are all in uniform then they are not violating any NFL policies

If you let one team wear decals then you have to let everyone else do it too. Next they will be wearing black lives matter and antifa decals
Or decals endorsing a religion or some other fringe political group

Yeah yeah, whatever, It's ok to support what you want, but want to support anything else. It is forbidden.

So disrespecting our flag and our military men is the only uleternative.

That tells you how sad it is.

They're protesting corruption in law enforcement and in the judicial system. This is not an attack against soldiers.
As for the flag. I'm patriotic and I love my country but I'm not going to worship a piece of cloth

I agree with you to an extent, BUT the national anthem is played at ball games. The players feel that they can not in good conscience stand for the anthem because they don't like what is happening regarding police brutality against black men. If the players went on the field, no anthem played, and they used it as a platform to protest- then I would agree with you. The playing of the anthem makes this type of entertainment political.

Let's say you are a Russian in Communist Russia playing hockey. You are not a communist and against the regime, so you refuse to stand during the anthem before the hockey game. It would be seen as heroic- this is the same thing.
In the Soviet Union, they would have just put a bullet in the back of his head later on.

Yeah, there is.
We call that an "unspoken rule".
When the Anthem is played, you stand up, take off your headwear, and place your hand over your heart.
It's what you do!!!
Anyone who doesn't want to do it should get the hell out of the country.

If these "protesting" jackasses wanted to actually make a difference,
they'd form some sort of coalition, the purpose of which would be to educate
their youth concerning how blessed they are to live in the United States,
the country which has enabled them to become rich by playing a game.
Instead they give their country the proverbial finger, their youth
emulate them, and the victim-mentality is further validated.
It's disgusting.
At this point I hope the NFL goes broke, and I'm a lifelong fan.

Ok dude. You do not get the point. They may SAY they are protesting those things, But They are not actually protesting those things, If they were. They would do it the w3ay they should. NOT THE WAY THEY ARE.

They are PROTESTING THE VERY THING WHICH STANDS FOR THE RIGHTs. And alienating a whole bunch of people while doing it.
