I don't think anyone should be disarmed but we have more gun violence thann any country in the world so clearly we need to look into finding some solutions. A handgun for personal defense is reasonable but an automatic rifle is not.
I can't think of any practical reason to have fully automatic weapons unless you plan on killing Mass numbers of people
Where do you get your infor at? I would say there is more gun violence int he Middle East. THE USA is still pretty tamed compared to many nations..

We were warned that in the last time these instances would occur. Lovers of self, disobedient to parents, proudness. When a person goes out to commit a horrid act with a gun, they have lost all hope in life, and lash out against not only the lost people of this world, but also the believers and followers of Christ. It's sad that a person can get to that point, but the father of this world is the father of lies, he is the great deceiver, and it's easy for those who's mind he continues to cloud to be able to lose hope and just throw away their only chance of having a life in Jesus Christ. Essentially that's what they are doing. A true Christian and follower of Christ doesn't commit acts of this nature. If a person were to commit this act and claim Christ's best, I'd have to take it with a grain of salt. Christ's commandment to us before He ascended was to love our neighbor as ourselves. To love one another, and if a person kills another person, that's not love, that's hatred. We do have a violence problem in this country, but it isn't JUST GUNS. It's an issue of the heart and a turning away from God that promotes these kind of occurrences. Gun control won't solve anything. If a person chooses to go out and commit murder, he/she will use whatever means necessary to carry out that plan. Guns are chosen because they are the easiest and quickest way to end a life. What the nation needs is prayers, and for us as Christians to stand up and share the good news with EVERYONE we come in contact with. Trust me, the Lord will open the door for you to share Jesus with someone. The biggest question is, Will you take it?

I just saw a video this morning about Japan. They average 7 gun deaths per year. In order to purchase a gun in Japan you have to go through a rigorous psychological evaluations and have to pass a training course with 95% accuracy.

We used to be socially polite, until TV and movies depicted people doing what they would like to do, and it got to the point that many people thought that that was what we were suppose to do or allowed to do in society. If games are played long enough with enough different variations of violent scenarios, you will begin to find yourself thinking like the players. "Take out the bad guy with violence and all that bad stuff will stop". As you are still aware, it doesn't work that way, but you may find yourself going over to the "Dark side" in time.
Yes, "faith (belief in the correctness or acceptability of something) comes by hearing (or watching)"....... And that trust, belief, and reliance upon... doesn't just come only from "hearing" the word of God. Listen to anything at all, over and over again, and eventually it becomes one of your beliefs.

So lets disarm people so they can not protect themselves?

Even God did not disarm his people. His disciples were armed. And he never told them to disarm themselves

Except for the part where that's not what I said
I'm pretty sure Jesus wouldn't want some untrained buffoon running around with a sword..
And who's going to defend me against some untrained and undisciplined idiot who starts popping off rounds in Walmart parking lot?
That's where the extensive training part comes in
