I don't think the term marriage is solely owned buy Christians. I don't see how the government who represents people of all faiths or non faiths can stop two consenting adults from joining together.
Marriage predates Christianity. So it's kind of silly to say that only Christian marriages are valid. I guess that means atheist can't get married

Please note that this is a slightly deceptive notice. There were no 'polls' involved. Somehow they worked it out to be a 'mail out ballot vote' and unlike any other issue in australia, VOTING WAS VOLUNTARY, rather then mandatory. Why it was done this way is a mystery, i cannot recall any other vote ever done this way in australia.

As i read the many posts on the Australia same sex vote, I must stress again that most are missing the point. I am not sure where the main news line came from but its misleading and 'fake news'. There were no polls. The ballots were mailed out, and there was no identifying features to say who sent the votes in and who didn't. We felt at the time that this leaves corruption wide open. Voting is mandatory in Australia, except in this one case. I want to know why??? Did piles of yes votes get added? were any votes stollen from mail boxes and used??? there is absolutely no way to know. Something smells very fishy. Why we asked cant we just vote on this one 'special issue' the same way we vote for all other issues?

Don't be too hard on the Ausies, the majority of folks who voted for Senator here in Bama ALSO voted to support gay rights, abortion on demand, and a whole bunch of other stuff........

Kinda sad ain't it?

You know, being a Aussie myself, this whole postal vote for starters was just a big waste of money. As to why this whole postal vote was done in the first place I don't know. But I cannot help but suspect that Australia was already at the stage to change the Marriage Act at a federal level, with all the draft bills already prepared. Maybe the idea of the postal vote in the beginning was to make it appear it was what the people wanted? Does this make sense? Something definitely not right here. This whole postal vote in the beginning just did not add up.

Surprised they didn't do the voting forms on toilet paper, at least that way the forms could of been flushed down the toilet.

There are some things one has to verify for themselves if something is true, and in this day and age, this applies.

So if we take it at face value the results are a reasonable accurate representation of what the people want, then this itself will show how badly Australia is becoming.

Regardless, the issue is Australia is now on board the sodomite train. That is reality.
