When John and I first started going out, he introduced me to some of his friends. Two of them were Marge and her husband, Chuck. He had known Marge for years. Leukemia ran strong in her family. When they first met, her mother was dying from it. One brother and two sisters died from it already. As he came to know her, others were diagnosed with it.

The last memory he has of Marge before I came along was helping her clean out her mother's house, after her mother died from it. The legacy was everyone was going to get it and die from it. It wasn't a matter of if, but when.

It's been 30+ years since we knew them. We reconnected through FB, after I contacted an old friend of John's, because John needed visitors when he was very sick, (besides me.) And that old friend is still involved in that old church.

Marge got it. She got the leukemia in 2011.

This is what the Lord and Penn Medicine (the same hospital -- well, he was in the hospital across the street, but its the same network-hospital -- that brought John from 90% chance of dying in the next few minutes to back home with me) did about it.

Just thought sometimes News can mean GOOD News!!!
