It's so surreal that he's actually dead to me. Before someone gets the wrong idea, I in no way held him in high regard, but in some weird way, he seemed like someone who would never die.

Mostly by those who are probably more than a little messed up in the head themselves.

I'll pray for him, and anyone gleeful about it--they'll need just as many prayers.

While the murders that Manson committed or had committed were truly terrible events, the truth of the matter is that, if he had sincerely and truly turned to Christ for forgiveness God would forgive him. That said, we don't know what was on his heart prior to him taking his last breath. If he died without Christ, then we know that he only has condemning judgment in the lake of fire to look forward to and he now knows the truth regarding the existence of God.

I would make mention of the fact that those people who have not received Christ and yet have never committed such acts of violence and murder as Manson did are also on their way to condemning judgment. For scripture states that "there is none righteous, no not one. All have sinned and all fall short of God's righteous requirements." Since believing in Jesus is the only way to be reconciled to God, then everyone who hasn't received Christ are headed for condemning judgment.

I agree that those who are gleeful about Manson's death and who already have him judged and in hell, have forgotten that they are saved by grace through faith and not by their own righteous life.

However, praying for Manson would be a waste of time, because if he never did receive Christ, then his record was sealed when he took his last breath and no prayer can now change that. Likewise, if he received Christ before he died, then prayer for him would also be a waste of time, because he would already be with the Lord.

Blessings!

Actually, I don't think he ever killed anyone. It was his followers that were the killers. However, as far as I know, he did tell his followers to kill these people.

Hello Stanger36147,

I agree, which is why I said in my post "that Manson committed or had committed ."

Not a waste of time--when He lets one hold the string from end to end.

Just think what Charles Manson could have done with his life if he'd been on the right track. He was smart and had a magnetic personality. He could have done so much good. Instead he tried to incite a race riot, caused half a dozen murders, shattered several families, and cost taxpayers millions of dollars in legal fees and incarceration costs. What a tragic waste of a life. /facepalm

He wanted to be a rockstar. He had a decent singing voice so he may have actually been successful. He had the Charisma for it.

Thank goodness this man finally got what was coming to him. He and O.J. Simpson just seem like the kind of people who just keep on going, guilty as all get out, but O.J. will eventually discover a day when the death angel pays him a visit too, and I can only hope that his heart and soul is right with God Almighty before that day

I find no reason to rejoice because someone has died regardless of who they are or what they have done. We are all sinners and are deserving of death but Jesus paid the price for our sins and by the grace of God we will have eternal life in His presence. I have prayed for his soul and may he now find peace in God. I pray this for everyone.

Yes, we are able to go to Heaven. May God be praised for His mercy and love- that surpass our understanding. I hope he is in Heaven and I hope he is well at last.
