This short video is one of my favorites of Dr. Sproul. It concisely shows his passion for the nature of God:

My condolences to the family. I'm certain they find comfort in his assurance of his salvation.

One little thingy why would he think there will be fire hydrants in heaven?

For the cause of Christ

Praying the Lord comforts all who love Pastor Sproul.

My sister is a little down as this was her Pastor.

I think we shall let God decide who will be going home to Him and who will not..
"Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
R 10:13

And we can be quite sure that R.C. Sproul's calling on the name of the Lord was not inactive or fruitless as Christ or James warned.

R.C. Sproul was truly a great teacher, and he was truly unique in ways far beyond his obvious gifting.

It was Sproul who first introduced me to classical apologetics and philosophy.
He also gave me the first glimmers of understanding in how to reach across our great doctrinal divides with more grace and compassion, and how to achieve this while still remaining firm in our faith and convictions.

Thanks to his prolific life's work, we can enjoy the continual blessing of his teaching and wisdom for many years to come.

This is a blessing for which I'm deeply thankful.

May we all be men and women who finish our course so well.
