I'm not the biggest fan of Trump, but I sort of enjoyed his speech. I especially liked: “Preston’s reverence for those who have served our nation reminds us why we salute our flag, why we put our hands on our hearts for the Pledge of Allegiance, and why we proudly stand for the national anthem.” That was an A+ line.

I don't like how Trump has flipped on a pathway to citizenship. You never reward bad behavior... It's unfair to all the families who waited in line to come into the country legally. Furthermore, why aren't they going after people who hire the illegal immigrants? They are the biggest reason WHY illegals come... to seek employment to send money back home. Trump gets an F on this.

Assuming all the data is correct about unemployment being down, it does sadden me to see the left not rejoice in these historic low numbers (especially for Black people). It's one thing to dislike/hate him because of his big mouth, but if he does something right, give the devil his due... It's as if they wish things would get worse...?

I loved the story of the North Korean man who was trying to steal coal to trade for food. It illustrates perfectly what kind of filth the North Korea government is, and what kind of menace they are to the world and their own people. A+ strategy to use this man's powerful story to expose what the world is dealing with in North Korea.

Perhaps what I'm looking forward to most is his promise to put "lowering the cost of pharmaceuticals" near the top of his list for this year. It's as if big pharm is a holy entity in the US, free to price gouge those who are in need. It's pretty disgusting honestly. This is something everyone should hold Trump (and congress) accountable for... Sadly, many of the people in power are in bed with big pharm. Let's just pray Trump does what he says.

That's easy. Liberals want to take your money and give it to the lazy and people who don't belong here. Conservatives want to take your money and give it to the rich fat cats. Either way, if you're in the middle you're screwed.
Hahaha people won't like this post, but you're absolutely correct. Each side will point fingers at the other for how wrong, terrible, manipulative, etc... they are. In that sense, they are both right.

Also, this wall talk is silly. I mean, a wall certainly wouldn't hurt, but why not focus on more practical ways to stop illegal immigration in it's tracks?

You can start by doing as I said above... Prosecuting white collar criminals for hiring illegals (I hear Trump did that with Trump Tower... so maybe he would especially not like my proposal). Once you cut off the source, or the reason why they are coming here in the first place, you may not even need a wall. If the US has loads of money to burn (last I checked, the US is about 20 trillion in debt), then sure, build a wall. Until you actually attack the reason, a wall will only slow them down.

It's like locking your car door. Sure, it's good to lock your door when you park some place. But if you leave a diamond the size of a baseball, sparkling for all the world and the thieves to see it... that lock/window being rolled up won't do anything to stop them. Maybe a thief will still break your window/pick your lock even if all possessions are hidden/not there... but the odds of them doing it grow up exponentially if you leave it out for them to see. The thing is, white collar criminals are breaking the law and are either, A.) not being prosecuted, or B.) given a slap on the wrist (maybe they go to a cushiony white collar prison for a little while).

I wasn't overly impressed with the STOU, but I enjoyed the strange faces competition between Schumer and Pelosi. I do have to give Pelosi the edge. I kept wondering when she was going to spit out the snuff.

Trump may not have accomplished much last year, but Mama enjoyed investing the tax savings back into the local economy. When Mama's happy, Billy's happy.

I'm not quite sure about Joe Kennedy's speech was a rebuttal or participation in the strange face competition. I lean towards the latter.

Then again, he could paint a pentagram on the white house and engage in satanic rituals and some will still praise him as the great christian savior of the US.

We humans are a funny lot, aren't we?
If he did that it is highly doubtful any would claim he is Christian......now the Pagans on the other hand might throw a party.....

It's a bar chart projecting the national debt up to 2020.

What exactly was ted cruz going to do in 12 months to make the debt go away?
That's a strawman argument. You are mischaracterizing my argument. Go back and read my comments. I never faulted Trump for not making the debt go away in 12 months. I wrote that I am disappointed in Trump AND the Republicans for completely ignoring it and not even discussing it especially during the budget debate when the govt was shut down 2 weeks ago. Instead, they talked about building a wall, the CHIP program, and illegal immigration. A budget is about costs, finances, taxes, and debt. But the debt problem we are facing was and is being completely ignored...completely! At least Ted Cruz talked about it and had ideas to solve it. He singlehandedly shut down the government over it. Trump doesn't even talk about it.

If I knew how to post the picture here I would. And I suppose someone calling people a "brood of vipers" is not okay with you in your Bible.
