This morning Trump gave us a trillion dollar deficit this year saying that is the best we can do. He needs to be fired.

Considering that a good portion of those spendings went towards disaster relief for OUR nation, I think you need to take a chill pill

No, it didn't. It went towards expanding the size of the Federal government by 13%. Our children will have to pay off this enormous debt their whole lives and have nothing to show for it. They will be slaves to the Federal government having most of their income taken away. Trump is the flip side of the same progressive coin as Hillary and Sanders. Trump only turned Republican to run for President.

You amuse me with your panicky nature and your assumptions....and lay all the blame on Trump.....typically, you sound like the typical Liberal, but on the other hand, you can't see the bigger picture, and yes a good portion of that DID go to disaster relief and FEMA aid, so check yourself before you wreck yourself

I agree, but you will never see the federal government shrink in size. We have nothing left to do, but turn D.C. into an ashtray. A bit over 2\3 of the budget is spent on health and human services, such as, medicare, medicaid, social security, and education. Nothing in the constitution authorizes congress to enact those programs, but to hell if you can get rid of them. People complain about military spending, but raising an Army and maintaining a Navy is one of the few things congress is authorized to legislate.
You can blame Trump, you can blame Obama, but it's congress. The president doesn't make the laws, congress does. It's the constant political pandering to the have nots, to use the force of the government to take from the haves, in this never ending class war, instigated by ideological leftist. The death nail for the republic was drives by the 16th and 17th amendments. It's too late now to reverse it. Government will continue to grow, unless some revolt is successful.

You dislike Trump,we get it. Were you this angry over Obama,or Bush? Odd that you just signed in just to bash Trump. Hey,in the end he may stink as a president, but its going to take time to tell. I hope you focus some of that anger on Rhinos that are just as bad as Dems as to the mess being created here.

Reagan was able to do it.

Was he really? What do we have now?
Reagan had the will to reduce the size of the Federal government and he worked hard to do it. Read his inaugural address. Trump doesn't have the will because he is a Democrat and so are his children. He only became a Republican the year before running for President.

Our country doesn't have a taxing problem, It has a spending problem. Trump already planted the seeds for a smaller government by cutting taxes. This forces the spend happy Congress to rein in,their spending. The spending isn't one party or one politician, bur rather the nature of the beast. To get any good bill to pass Congress, you end up with pet pork projects attached. That goes on and on to where there is nothing left for infrastructure maintenance.

The size and spending of government never decreased when Reagan was president. If my memory is correct, spending increased by 22% during his time in office. Really, that's in the wheel house of congress.

Cutting taxes has never led congress to spend less money before. I don't see why it would be different now.

Reagan reduced the size of the Federal government but spending increased due to the Cold War and he won it without firing a shot. But this spending today is well over 100% of GDP and what are we getting for it?

Trump just signed the biggest spending bill in history today so what does say about your comment that Trump's tax cut reigns in spending?

You're getting plenty of happy voters that still get their free stuff, paid for by someone else.
