I was surprised to wake up today, get on the Internet and the first thing I see is that Stephen Hawking has died at the age of 76.

Stephen Hawking dies aged 76 - BBC News

He was an inspiration to me because even though he was disabled, he didn't let that stop him from doing what he wanted to do. His body was stricken but his mind was still so strong and held so much knowledge. I think that's very powerful and definitely says something.

As far as i know He rejected the Atonement of the LORD Jesus Christ... If so his death is a terrible tradgedy for him..

At lest now he knows the truth....

Wow. Today was the first day I had so much as given a thought to the man in... years.

Now he's gone. I shouldn't think of anybody :p

Jokes aside, I hope he had a saving knowledge of Christ before his demise. However unlikely it may seem.

Amen! For the Lord God's sake, I pray Stephen's heart was open to Him.

Well this is the moment of truth for him an atheist

now he will really know that your soul continues after death

but it is too late for him to repent or to believe

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

I have always felt that he was angry at God because of his condition. Maybe we will hear from someone he repented before it was to late.

Where Stephen Hawkings is now ... we don't know. God will decide. When Billy Graham died, many said that he, too, was in Hell because towards the end of his life, he became more inclusive. He stated that people of others faiths, or no faith at all, might be saved IF they lived as if they knew Jesus (paraphrasing).

I cannot judge anyone's soul. I certainly dont believe that people of other religions (and possibly no religion at all) will go to Hell because they believed in the wrong "things". I wonder if there even is a Hell.

The fact that he live as long as he did with ALS is a testimony of GOD's mercy and that GOD had other plans for the mind and strength that HE gave Stephen.

I understand what you mean. But the time for praying for Stephen has past. However in tearful love we may continue in Christ praying for the dead that are still standing.

[h=1]John 14:6 New King James Version (NKJV) 6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.[/h]Matthew 26:39 New King James Version (NKJV) 39 He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.”
To say there is ANOTHER Way to Salvation is to say God let His Son suffer and die for NOTHING, and that He ignored His Son's prayer knowing there was another way.

1 Corinthians 15:3-4 New King James Version (NKJV) 3 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,

[h=1]Galatians 1:6-9 New King James Version (NKJV) Only One Gospel[/h]6 I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, 7 which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the Gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. 9 As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.

There are many passages that deal with hell. You can look them up on your own. But I would implore you NOT to deviate from the ONE True Gospel.

Sometimes I'm wondering, what does really the passage "No one comes to the Father except THROUGH me" mean?

How do we interprete "trough"?

Through is belief in Jesus, and no other. (John 6:29)

Mr. Hawking now has all the answers he sought. He now understands how wrong he was and how foolish he had become by trusting in himself. He and Sagan are but a few who have made science so called their god.

For the cause of Christ

According to the Bible people will go to hell if they do not trust in Christ as their Savior. Its as simple as that.Hawking made it quite clear that he did not believe in a God. Know he knows the truth.

Jesus Himself told you that. He is the DOOR. You go THROUGH a door to get to where you want to be. ONLY WAY to heaven is going THROUGH THE DOOR..........Jesus Christ.

Well, from my experience there is a great number of ways to go through a door. Do you knock first or just bust it open? Lol

Jesus said to knock and it shall be opened to you..........we knock (ask Him into our lives) and He opens His loving arms to us and we can ENTER into His rest.......to eternal life.

The problem is that the words used: Gehenna, Hades and Sheol dont mean Hell. They mean grave. Not so sure that Hel is compatible with a loving God.
