Redefining Criminality

A press release from Miami-Dade County Public Schools, Feb. 15, 2012:
“Miami-Dade Schools Police Reduces Juvenile Delinquency by 60 Percent.”

The statistical decline in juvenile delinquency in Miami-Dade was hailed as a terrific
success. The Broward County School district decided to follow suit.

The Broward County School Board and its district superintendent made a deal with
Broward County law enforcement officials to stop arresting students for crimes.

How do we deal with evil? their answer was to excuse criminal behavior among students.
Miami-Dade administrators, Rather than stopping evil, they accommodated it.

“The primary problem was the policy conflicted with laws; and over time the policy
began to create outcomes where illegal behavior by students was essentially unchecked
by law enforcement,”

Treehouse reported:
From 2012 though 2018 it only got worse. In Broward and Miami-Dade it is almost impossible
for a student to get arrested. The staff within the upper levels of [law enforcement officers]
keep track of arrests and when a certain number is reached all else is excused. Well it didn’t
take long for criminal gangs in Broward and Miami-Dade to realize the benefit of using students
for their criminal activities. After all, the kids would be let go … so organized crime became easier
to get away with if they enlisted high-school kids. As criminals became more adept at the timing
within the offices of the officials, they timed their biggest crimes to happen after the monthly
maximum arrest quota was made.

The most serious of armed robberies etc were timed for later in the month or quarter.
The really serious crimes were timed in the latter phases of the data collection periods.
This way the student criminals were almost guaranteed to get away with it.

Think again about those 17 people murdered at Marjory Stoneman Douglas
High School. This is the shocking, shameful backdrop of that disaster.

These officials’ job was to protect these kids. Instead, they sacrificed
these kids in order to protect their twisted ideology. Read the whole story here

Good grief, this is so ignorant and chiche'd that I don't really know where to start.... I'll start where you left off.

Are you ok with banning all cell phones? Think of all the kids' lives that would be saved.

Are you ok with the federal government making it illegal to own any vehicle that can exceed 40 mph ? Think of all the kids' lives that would be saved.

Shouldn't we outlaw all swimming pools? And, for that matter, make it illegal to swim in lakes? Think of all the kids lives that would save....

But, mostly.... shouldn't we outlaw forever and ever, abortion? Think of the MILLIONS of babies that have been aborted since Roe v. Wade was made law....

I assume you will be in favor of enacting ALL those laws? Or... could you possibly be simply anti-gun, and it has nothing to do with "saving the life of just ONE child"...
Start with Australia no longer has any mass murders in schools now go hug your gun while someone else is losing a child because of self center gun owners

Do you speak out about the murdering of unborn babies,
as much as you do for taking guns from law abiding citizens?

Was the NRA responsible?
Was the weapon responsible?
Was the FBI Responsible?
Was the crooked sheriff and his incompetents responsible?
Was the crazy student responsible when all the red flags had been already identified and everyone stood by?

Of course the Left-wingers do not really want the facts or the truth, since that would destroy their motivation for targeting hatred against the wrong people.

Now that we know that this walk-out was MANIPULATED to create confusion, chaos, and hatred, and we know who is behind it, it is time to be honest (which is almost impossible for dishonest Democrats). Behind all of this are international forces at work to destroy America from within and erode the existing freedoms and the rule of Law. But do you think a single one of these walk-out students has a clue? The Communists, Fascists, and Anarchists have taken over the colleges and universities, and now they are taking over the high schools. And hardly anyone is standing up and resisting these tools of Satan.

Since their always seems to be [an anti-young people agenda], I'll just I agree.
Not sure I agree with this theory. The societies of America, and most other Western
nations today are not only obsessed with youth, but also openly hostile toward aging.

“Institutionalized prejudice against aging is condoned by our society,” wrote Todd D.
Nelson, an associate professor at California State University–Stanislaus. “Americans
shun older people because they are obsessed with youth and beauty,” he said.

American sociologist Jean Potuchek said:

“Our society seems to assume that youth is a time when we are developing and when
our bodies and minds are sharp and capable. Age, by contrast, is seen as a time when
we are declining and our bodies and minds are dull and losing their capabilities.”
-

Experts say the media plays a major role in these perceptions. The elderly are usually
painted as irrelevant, slow-thinking, chronically ill, unable to work, and burdensome.
Their wisdom—if they are shown to have any at all—is depicted as outdated and useless.

The Young Should Honor the Aged, for good of society , and for there own future well being.
God says younger people should “rise up before the hoary head” and “honor the face
of the old man” (Leviticus 19:32). God sees gray hair on a person as a “crown of glory”
(Proverbs 16:31). And He wants people of all ages to view the elderly as He does.

When young people fail to respect the aged members of society, they miss out on some in-
valuable resources: “With the very aged is wisdom, and with length of days understanding,”
That doesn’t mean age always leads to wisdom (see Eccl 4:13 and Job 32:6-9).

But in general, people who have lived longer will have acquired more wisdom.
And younger people benefit immensely from absorbing that wisdom into their lives.

If younger people learn to respect old age, they will also benefit later in their lives when
they themselves grow old. Rather than succumbing to feelings of negativity about aging,
they’ll be grateful to live through the latter chapters of their lives. With a positive view
of aging, they will be likelier to retain their mental health and acuity for their entire lives.

If young people want to obey God and reap the benefits of living life the way He designed
it, we will go out of our way to reverence our senior citizens. And we will rid our thinking
of the toxic negativity about aging that society instills in us.

The dease we call alzheimer's, in American senior citizens is increasing, Why?

Other countrys have hardly any deaths from this diease, where the elders are
still head of the household, and is still active in the God ordained family structure.

A study, called “A Culture–Brain Link: Negative Age Stereotypes Predict Alzheimer’s
Disease Biomarkers,” published on December 2016 in the journal Psychology and Aging.

The main cause of Alzheimer’s may be societies’ absence of respect for elderly people.
https://news.yale.edu/2015/12/07/ne...ng-predict-alzheimer-s-disease-yale-led-study

Lead researcher Becca Levy summarized the findings: “We believe it is the stress generated
by the negative beliefs about aging that individuals sometimes internalize from society that
can result in pathological brain changes.”

The study says that individuals who are conditioned by society to believe that they will lose
their mental sharpness when they grow old likely will. A look at how we treat our elders
suggests a contributing cause.God says younger people should “rise up before the hoary head”

People who succumb to negative thinking and feeling obsolete, it says, will sometimes
mentally “retire.” And this withdrawal can actually change their brains in a way that
leads to Alzheimer’s and other kinds of dementia.
-

Proverbs 23:7 says “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.” View old age as a problem,
and it could be a problem. Expect your memory to fade, and it is likelier to fade away.
See aging as an incurable disease, and it may well lead to incurable disease. Psalm 92:14
says that “even in old age,” people can “produce fruit” and “remain vital and green”

The brain is a “use it or lose it” organ, avoiding challenges and reducing effort leads to
physical deterioration. The Bible provides dozens of Inspiring examples of men and
women who remained “vital and green” well into old age. And it shows how they did it.

One of those is Caleb the son of Jephunneh. This is the man who entered into the
Promised Land as a spy when he was 40 years old. But Caleb’s story did not end there.
When he was 85 years old, Caleb was every bit as strong and sharp as he had been at age 40.

“I was forty years old when Moses the servant of the Lord sent me … to explore the land. …
Here I am today, eighty-five years old! I am still as strong today as the day Moses sent me out;
I’m just as vigorous to go out to battle now as I was then” (Joshua 14:7-11; New Inter. Version).

Why? I am still as strong today because “I wholly followed the Lord my God” (Joshua 14:8).

Start executing the murderers and that will make an impression on those who would
engage in such activities. Make it an unpleasant experience to murder people and
the activity will lose its attraction.
Yes I Agree , and so does the bible, but man is afried to use it.

The deterrent effect of the death penalty is muted because of current practices. But even
basic understanding of human nature tells us that, if administered properly, the death penalty
would have a significant deterrent effect!

“He that smiteth a man, so that he die, shall be surely put to death” (Exodus 21:12).
Hebrews 12:5-6 that for our own good those who commit wrong must be corrected.

Correction is the God-given means to prevent crime and other problems. Using strong
correction FORCES CHANGE in criminals convicted of lesser offenses and eliminates
entirely the threat of those convicted of violent crimes such as murder.

“Punishment, when meted out in the proper manner, and at the proper time, is one of the
greatest blessings a human being—at any age—can receive!” The reason is that if we do
not receive correction, we will proceed on a course to our own destruction (Proverbs 14:12).

Through correction, God can steer us in the path toward a happy, fulfilled life.
Our modern permissive society, we have “substituted INDULGENCE for discipline.”
The result is our prisons are overflowing and our society is inundated in violent crime.

“And whosoever will not do the law of thy God, and the law of the king,
let judgment be executed speedily upon him, whether it be unto death,
or to banishment, or to confiscation of goods, or to imprisonment.”

As parents and as a society, we are not to “spare for his crying” by lessening the
punishment. Proverbs13:24 admonishes us, “He who spares his rod hates his son,
but he who loves him DISCIPLINES HIM PROMPTLY” .

For the good of society and the individual, swift, stern justice must be meted
out when wrongs are brought to light.

Ecclesiastes 8:11 tells us the importance of swift punishment when it says,
“Because sentence againstan evil work is not EXECUTED SPEEDILY,
therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to DO EVIL.”

How clear and wise! When wrongdoing is not immediately punished, then all
or almost all of the deterrent value to any subsequent punishment is lost!

The criminal mind does not respect authority. The only thing such a person respects is
equal or stronger FORCE! And when that strong force is used immediately to severely
punish an offender, it makes others of like mind think twice before acting likewise.
-

“Whoever kills a person, the murderer shall be put to death on the testimony of witnes-
ses; but one witness is not sufficient testimony against a person for the death penalty”
“Whoever is worthy of death shall be put to death on the testimony of two or three
witnesses, but he shall not be put to death on the testimony of one witness” .

But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is
God’s minister, an AVENGER TO EXECUTE WRATH on him who practices evil”
For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid
of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same.

Matthew 26:52, “for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.”
Likewise, Jesus Christ inspired the Apostle John (Revelation 1:1) to write in
Revelation 13:10, “he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword.”
-

“When the scorner is punished, the simple is made wise,” and
“Smite a scorner, and the simple will beware” (Proverbs 21:11; 19:25).

Because of childs rights, we parents can not displine kids, like the bible says to.
Just go to a busy shopping center, to see the terrors of the next generation.

Some say gory “first person shooter” video games are a main contributor to youth violence.
Others believe these are harmless games for injoyment and pleasure, nothing wrong here.

Most defenders of violent video games consider the Electronic Software Ratings Board,
which rates software and online games, a safe enough defense against them getting into
the “wrong hands.” But games are easily accessible online, since the Internet is practically
an unregulated medium. And if anything, the M rating (for mature audiences) just lets teens
know that this is the game they want to play.

“First person shooter” games do affect people’s minds—both the young and not-so-young.
In fact, they are useful in military/police training, according to former Army Colonel David
Grossman. He says they help people overcome their natural resistance to shooting people.

This study is far from the final word on Alzheimer’s. From nation to nation, there are stark differences
in diet, lifestyle, fitness levels and medical reporting methods. These and numerous other factors likely
contribute to the differing rates from nation to nation. And sometimes, even well-respected, active people
who push themselves and seem to be doing everything right—such as Ronald Reagan—succumb to the
ravages of Alzheimer’s.

Nevertheless, the study’s findings are potentially important because they could help explain why rates of
dementia are so much higher in Western nations like the United States and Britain than in such countries
as India, Cambodia and Greece, where aging is celebrated and elderly people are respected.

March 2, 2018 Special Report

Relativistic America: Neither safe nor free
That’s the society created by gun-control liberalism.
https://spectator.org/relativistic-america-neither-safe-nor-free/

“The Florida mass shooting, which even a minimally competent state could have prevented,
is a window on a relativistic America that is neither safe nor free. For decades, gun-control
liberals, who corrupted civil society and called it “progress,” have proposed more govern-
ment and less morality.

But all that produces is an out-of-control society in which responsibility lessens everywhere.
It has given us broken homes, broken schools, and broken government.

All of the hasty gun-control proposals under discussion amount to rearranging deck chairs
on the Titanic. If a country’s culture is sick, it doesn’t matter what legislation passes. The
people won’t follow the law and a corrupt and incompetent government won’t enforce it."

A discussion that is presented as a trade-off between security and liberty isn’t. It is just
one more step toward a future without either. The least emotionally satisfying “fix” to the
problem of gun violence — because it sounds so abstract and musty, and because it would
require uprooting the moral relativism of the last fifty years or so — is the only real one:
restoring civil society. As it disintegrated, America went from fewer laws and less violence
to more laws and more violence.

Relativism and totalitarianism, which combine to form much of the thrust of modern politics,
reinforce each other. Decades of moral relativism have sapped civil society, causing a spike
in terror and disorder. Aspiring totalitarians then point to those horrors and call for bigger
and bigger government. Gun-control liberalism rests on that reinforcing paradox —
the permissive society giving birth to the Leviathan.

In that vision lies the realization of the founding fathers’ worst fears. They didn’t
want less morality and more government but more morality and less government
— the Ten Commandments, not ten new gun laws after every shooting.”............

This is extraordinary news. I'm glad that a growing number of citizens are waking up to the problems of an ever changing society and I hope in the future it sees full enforcement.

https://www.gizmodo.com.au/2015/06/australia-hasnt-had-a-mass-shooting-since-1996/

there is examples we could follow, but being a self centered society we love our right to bare arms more then our children safety. not to mention the money behind it all. I personalty have no need for a gun but it ain't all about me but for real we do not need assault weapons on our street or in the hands of the public. aromatic weapons need to good. There is no cure all cure all but if ONE child's life is saved it is worth it.

Very true. So positive to see this great perspective.

let's take a good look at reality and try and find where the evil has 'decreased' and
everything has become better and 'righted it's self, according to 'JESUS' ways, Commands,
and all the evil took a 'back-seat'???

I'm sorry if we sound ever so skeptical, but we have both lived a long time and have been witness
to many things...many have yet to learn about this evil world and 'who' runs it...

P.S. Same with Laura.
