But of course when it comes to unconventional means of killing civilians
    the Americans are the experts.
And while the "West" is outraged at the assassination of two ex-Russians in
the U.K. the same West has no remorse nor repentance over Hiroshima and
Nagasaki - and the continuing genetic and disease sufferings of many generations
after these two abominations of World War Two.

One Thousand Paper Cranes for Peace: The Story of Sadako Sasaki

On August 6th, 1945, World War II’s Allied forces dropped an atomic bomb on the
Japanese city of Hiroshima. In an instant, the city was obliterated.
When the bomb had cleared, people’s shadows remained frozen in place on footpaths
    and the sides of buildings.
The people themselves simply vanished. On that tragic day, 140,000 civilians were killed.

The Sasaki family lived one mile from the spot where the bomb went off.
They and their two-year-old daughter, Sadako, managed to survive the nuclear attack,
though soon after the explosion, thick black clouds of radioactive soot and dust began to
fall. Though the family tried to protect themselves, they could not avoid breathing the
    contaminated air.

But when Sadako was twelve years old, she noticed that her lymph nodes were becoming swollen.
A doctor confirmed her parents’ greatest fears: Sadako had been contaminated with radiation
poisoning from the atomic bomb. She was dying of leukemia.

In August 1955, residents of Nagoya sent a gift of colored origami paper cranes to Sadako
and the other hospital residents as a get-well present.
The gift gave her an idea.

“She believed in a saying that if you fold a thousand cranes, you would get over your sickness,”
her mother wrote. “She folded paper cranes carefully, one by one using a piece of paper.
Her eyes were shining while she was folding the cranes, showing she wanted to survive.”

When she got to one thousand, she kept on going, hopeful that the paper birds might
magically cure her illness. But it was not to be: Sadako died on the morning of
October 25, 1955, surrounded by her family.

Each year, children and adults from all over the world travel to the Children’s Peace Monument,
bringing their own folded paper cranes as a gift to Sadako’s memory, and as a symbol of their
desire for peace and for the abolition of nuclear weapons.

death and dominance seems to be the object of our species -

when I was sixteen, my mother poisoned me with 'rat-poison',
and yes, of course I survived, but have since found and heard
of many such cases - see any difference???

Many today view Japan as a victim in World War ii. United States former Barack Obama’s
visit to Hiroshima, the first sitting U.S. president to do so, has helped promote this image.

An objective look at history, however, reveals that Japan was no innocent victim,
and the bombing of Hiroshima was necessary to end World War ii.

Japan bombed America into the war, now America’s pacifism is awakening the samurai.
“For most of the world, the end of World War ii led to jubilation.” This was generally
understood in 1945, but today, politicians and historians, and schools water down
the truth about this history. They obscure the blame.

Japan is in the midst of a massive military buildup! Article 9 of the Japanese
Constitution, imposed by the U.S. because Japan was such a killing machine, says,
“land, sea and air forces, as well as other war potential, will never be maintained.”
Japan has since stripped away part of article 9, and history has a habit of repeats.

Who is responsible for the millions of deaths in the war in the Pacific?

The Chinese people suffered enormously in World War ii. China lost approximately
14 million people because of the bloodthirsty conquests of Imperial Japan.
Friedman estimated 100,000 deaths a month would be a conservative figure.

    Friedman wrote:

It is forgotten that Japan continued to occupy vast areas of China, administering it with
brutality at least equal to the Nazis. Critics of Hiroshima tend not to remember the on-
going war in China, and that with each month the war continued, the Japanese killed
    more Chinese citizens.

They assume that waiting for Japan to capitulate did not have a human cost.
From the standpoint of the Chinese, every day the war went on cost thousands of
Chinese lives. … Around 140,000 Japanese may have died at Hiroshima, but at least
the equivalent in Chinese lives were saved as a result. Critics of Hiroshima leave
China out of the equation, which they must do in order to make their case.

Even a minute amount of the nerve agent can have long term effects.

A Russian chemical weapons scientist has told Sky News that people exposed
to even tiny traces of the nerve agent used to attack a spy and his daughter
in Salisbury could be in danger of developing symptoms in years to come.
The point about Hiroshima and Nagasaki is that the weapons used
were not limited in effects to the immediate devastation and destruction.
The effects of radiation poisoning continues until today with leukaemia's
    birth defects and stillborn births.

Miri posted that the actions of the Russians are morally wrong (evil?)
because of the ongoing effects to other people that could arise from this
    nerve agent.
I am simply counterbalancing that as Christians we need to be concerned
with compassion in regards to every situation were innocent people suffer
ongoing consequences from a previous act of war or espionage.

The guilt of the Japanese involved in WW2 ought not to be an ongoing
penalty of suffering some 70 plus years later today.

Russia is what Russia has always been.

What worries me is how easily Western politicians and people are increasingly submitting to the authoritarian regime in Russia.

Let's be honest...the only language any country understands is power. Being submissive to another country, especially a country like Russia, is an invitation to an agressive foreign policy on their end.

I don't have anything against Russia, and I like to keep it that way. That's why I'm in favor of letting Russia know that we don't scare easily and that we're always ready.

Wow the same applies to the U.S.A.
who currently are in Syria on a completely illegal basis
U.S. forces do not have the invitation nor permission of the government of
Syria to be in their nation.
The U.S.A. is in complete violation of the U.N. charter that nations
must respect the sovereignty of other nations, and must not trespass
into other nations with hostile forces, etc. > act of war.

Both the U.S.A. and Turkey [NATO member & ally] have invaded
Syria and have waged open warfare in another nation.
U.S. forces have attacked and bombed Syrian army troops and positions
who are inside their own nation.
When did the U.S.A. openly declare a state of war between herself and Syria?
When has Syria declared war on the U.S.A. or Turkey and attacked either?

So we have the West condemning Russia for supporting Russian speaking
people of the eastern Ukraine who do not want to be part of the fascist
[pretty well Nazi like] regime in Kiev; and condemning the return of the
Russian speaking peninsula to the Motherland.

And yet these same Western nations feel free to invade other nations
and bomb civilians and cause massive casualties, as well as fund and arm rebel
and/or terrorist forces, to achieve foreign policy outcomes.

Listening to the BBC there is constant coverage of the
    bloodshed and civilian
casualties in Eastern Ghouta [outskirts of Damascus] BUT almost no news about
the invasion by Turkish tanks and an Islamic militia [FSA] and their direct attacks
and bombings of the Kurdish civilian population and Kurdish forces in Afrin.

Before God the whole world is in darkness and full of hypocrisy - the
whole world is a product of sin.
And in the end it is our sinful natures that will lead to the destruction
of the entire world as we know it.

As Christians we must understand that the world is not righteous and that
rather than taking sides we must separate ourselves from the world or suffer
in the fate that is coming upon this un-Godly world.

Afrin just fell to the Turks and the jihadis. The Kurds just abandoned it. Turkey has been importing Uyghur muslims from Eastern Turkestan to wage jihad against Syria in that area. It makes me wonder if China is now going to get involved in the war there at some point in order to eradicate the Uyghur jihadis so that they don't take jihad back to their homeland.

Syria’s Bashar al-Assad steps up use of chemical weapons on his own people
UN Security Council is worthless as Syria uses chemical weapons with impunity

    6 Feb 2018 World View: Syria’s Bashar al-Assad
Steps Up Use of Chemical Weapons on His Own People
Syria's Bashar al-Assad Steps Up Use of Chemical Weapons on His Own People

Assad’s History of Chemical Attacks, and Other Atrocities
    https://www.nytimes.com/2017/04/05/w...as-attack.html

Under the Chemical Weapons Convention and the Security Council Resolution
2118, the Assad regime’s obligations are clear: It must immediately stop using
    all chemical weapons.

Rescue workers are reporting that warplanes from the regime of Syria’s president
Bashar al-Assad and from his [ally Russia have stepped up bombing attacks on civilians]
in densely populated neighborhoods in Eastern Ghouta and Idlib, and the use of chlorine
gas has been stepped up. At least 29 people were killed.

Al-Assad has used Sarin gas in the past to kill dozens or hundreds of people at a time.
As a chemical weapon, chlorine gas does not immediately kill as many people as Sarin,
but it is used in a different way: when warplanes start bombing women and children,
particularly hiding in basements of buildings. Since chlorine gas is heavier than air, it seeps
down into the basements and forces the choking women and children out into the open,
where they can be targeted by missiles and gunfire.
    -

Syrian President Bashar Assad used chemical weapons against his own people.
Around 80 people died, many foaming at the mouth and writhing with muscle spasms
—the symptoms of sarin nerve gas.

Assad was supposed to have given up all his chemical weapons; clearly he has not.
America’s decision to allow Russia to oversee the dismantling of Syria’s chemical
weapons has failed, like so many of the previous administration’s Middle Eastern
peace initiatives. And once again, Assad is gassing his own people.

Did Russia Attack the U.S. in Syria?
The growing danger of direct conflict between world powers.

February 28, 2018 Americans and Russians Fought a Battle in Syria — It’s Time to Care
    https://www.nationalreview.com/2018/...ation-serious/

David French of National Review suggested that the attack
was straight from the Kremlin textbooks:

Was Putin following his time-honored tactic of testing enemy will through the use of unmarked
or proxy forces? Who can doubt the official sanction of the “little green men” in Crimea or the
Russian “paramilitaries” in the Donbass conflict? Did a great power intentionally send its own
citizens into a deliberate clash with American forces?

It is clear that both Russia and America are downplaying the incident. If Russia did just test
America, then the U.S. did very little about it, beyond repulsing the initial attack. But French
pointed to the imminent danger posed by such confrontations:

"[T]he situation in Syria is extraordinarily dangerous. It’s understandable that international
eyes are focused on North Korea, but consider this: If reports of hundreds of Russian dead
are correct, the American military just killed more Russians than it did in any single encounter
throughout the entirety of the Cold War. That’s stunning. At present, a few thousand American
troops are in the midst of the world’s most vicious war, rubbing up against hostile Russians,
Syrians, Turks, Iranians and Lebanese. Confrontations are inevitable. Proper management of
    those confrontations is not."

As French noted, the U.S. is facing the possibility of a war
“unlike anything we’ve seen in generations.”

    x

What we are seeing right now in Syria is a major biblical prophecy in the process of
being fulfilled! What happens in Syria will lead to mighty nations changing course.

The book of Psalms prophesies the future of Syria, it will align with Germany.
Right now, Syria is Iran’s most important regional ally. But soon Syria
will no longer align with Iran, that Germany will help cause this split.

Its terrible. Powerful ones are still breaking international laws. Openly like Turkey/USA in Syria, Russia in Ukraine or secretly, by secret services and political agendas.

Russian spy: EU recalls Russia ambassador after nerve agent attack

The EU has recalled its ambassador to Moscow after leaders
agreed it was "highly likely" Russia was responsible for a nerve
    agent attack in the UK.

In a statement following an evening of talks in Brussels, the European
Council of EU leaders agreed "there is no plausible alternative explanation".

PM Theresa May had said the Salisbury poisoning was "part of a pattern of
    Russian aggression against Europe".

Moscow denies responsibility for the attack on an ex-spy and his daughter.
The EU said its ambassador to Russia was recalled "for consultations".

I think we should all be more concerned about the appointment of
John Bolton as National Security Advisor to President Trump.
This man is a hawk and is pro-war and pro projecting U.S. power
into other geo-political spheres of conflict.

The U.S. will get involved in Syria and Iran leading to direct
    conflict with Putin and Russia.
And then there's Taiwan and the South China Sea.

John Bolton believes in U.S. supremacy and rule as the
sheriff of the world order that benefits U.S. America.

I wonder if we are witnessing this Bible prophecy

3 and say: Thus saith the Lord GOD: Behold, I am against thee, O Gog,
    chief prince of Meshech and Tubal;
4 and I will turn thee about, and put hooks into thy jaws,
and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen,
all of them clothed most gorgeously, a great company with buckler and
