I am just surprised that (a) Trump did not select Bolton in the first place and avoid a lot of grief, and (b) Trump failed to vet McMaster thoroughly before appointing him. There were plenty of red flags flying from H.R. even before he was appointed. He was working for the enemies of the USA (Russia, China, Iran, etc.) through a think tank.

Also, for Attorney General, Trump failed to vet Sessions thoroughly, and now he is paying for it. Sheriff David Clarke would have been perfect.

Interesting, but Clarke has no education as a jurist. That would be an impossible sell to the Senate.

Probably one of his best qualities. Our government is populated with far too many failed jurists. Corrupted by law schools to believe there is no absolute truth and the constitution is what ever you read it to be.

True. But he could hire the most qualified conservative people to get the job done. After all Ben Carson is a surgeon. So what? He is 100% with Trump.

The thing is.... The Attorney General is an attorney, it's in the job title. He should be qualified to prosecute a case, and I'm sure the federal courts, like most states, will not let a person bring a case on behalf of another, without being a member of the bar.

I'm glad to hear that Bolton will once again be in the spotlight...

Honestly though... I've always thought Bolton was a great ambassador to the UN in the past and was really hoping Trump would pick him.

Since when does the Attorney General need to be "qualified" for anything ? ... I thought Holder and Lynch put an end to that ...
