Most Americans Believe A ‘Deep State’ Secretly Runs the Country, What is Deep State?

A supermajority of Americans believes a group of unelected government and military officials
secretly runs the United States, according to a Monmouth University poll published March 19.

Pollsters found that 63 percent of the 803 respondents were unfamiliar with the term “Deep State,”
but when told that it referred to the “existence of a group of unelected government and military
officials who secretly manipulate or direct national policy,” most agreed that the Deep State exists.

Only 27 percent of respondents said the Deep State “definitely exists,” but 47 percent said it
“probably exists.” Assuming this poll is representative of the U.S. population, it means 3 out of 4
Americans believe that elected representatives of the people are not truly governing the country.

This issue is not politically partisan. Pollsters found 59 percent of Dem., 59 percent of Rep., and
62 percent of Independents agree that appointed officials have too much power in the government.

“This is a worrisome finding. The strength of our government relies on public faith in protecting
our freedoms, which is not particularly robust. And it’s not a Democratic or Republican issue.
These concerns span the political spectrum,” said Patrick Murray, director of the independent
Monmouth University Polling Institute.

The same poll estimated that 8 in 10 Americans believe the government spies on the activities of
American citizens. Public trust in government institutions is plummeting. This trend is troubling,
but there are legitimate reasons for people to be worried about government overreach.

In this environment, where people lose faith in government institutions, many join radical groups
like Antifa and the Democratic Socialists of America, which want to replace, rewrite or ignore the
Constitution. Others buy guns and join militias in an attempt to defend the Constitution. As these
trends continue to unfold, tensions are building and the rule of law is breaking down.

But protests and armed resistance are not real solutions. Government corruption and declining
trust in its institutions are symptoms of a greater sickness in the nation, its citizens morality.

The Prophet Isaiah wrote about the spiritual sickness that besets a nation that turns away from God.
“Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters:
they have forsaken the Lord, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are
gone away backward. Why should ye be stricken any more? ye will revolt more and more:
the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint” (Isaiah 1:4-5).

More and more Americans are realizing that the government is sick and the nation is faint, but
too few are willing to consider what the Bible has to say about the root cause of this condition.
God does not put the primary blame on political leaders the way many political commentators do.
America’s problems are actually correction from God to help [our people see their sins and repent].

The famous British historian Paul Johnson wrote an article titled
“No Law Without Order, No Freedom Without Law.”

In it he wrote, “oth in Virginia and in New England to the north, the colonists were determined,
God-fearing men, often in search of a religious toleration denied them at home, who brought their
families and were anxious to farm and establish permanent settlements.

They put political and religious freedom before riches.
Consider some other statements from the Founding Fathers.

In his First Inaugural, President George Washington said, “The foundations of our national policy
will be laid in the pure and immutable principles of private morality.”In his famous Farewell Address
he said, “Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality
are indispensable supports.”

Washington knew that without religion and morality, the American experiment was doomed to fail.
John Adams backed him up: “Statesmen may plan and speculate for liberty, but it is religion and
morality alone which can establish the principles upon which freedom can securely stand.” Religion
and morality are firmly rooted in divine law.

In 1954, Supreme Court Chief Justice Earl Warren wrote, “I believe the entire Bill of Rights came
into being because of the knowledge our forefathers had of the Bible and their belief in it.”
What political or religious leaders would make such statements as these men did? Even the politi-
cians who established our republic were more spiritual than most of our religious leaders today!

More and more Americans are viewing the nation’s foundational laws and principles
not as a source of pride but as the root of its problems.

The United States of America is an exceptional nation in world history. As no other nation, it has stood
for limited government, separation of powers, rule of law, freedom of religion, freedom of speech, free
-market economy,and other principles outlined in its founding document, the United States Constitution.

These have contributed to making America incredibly free and prosperous, a magnet for immigrants
from nations around the world, and an undeniably positive force in the world for most of its history.

Early immigrants to America knew what it meant to be deprived of freedom. Most came from the
British Empire, perhaps the greatest and freest empire in world history. Yet even there, a government
that derivedits powers from the governors, not the governed, denied its citizens freedoms of religion,
speech and assembly.

As Thomas Jefferson wrote in the U.S. Declaration of Independence,
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their
Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness ”

In the Constitution, they established a system aimed at preserving for each person maximum
responsibility for his own life and maximum freedom to serve God according to his convictions.

Trump has headed the FBI for 1 1/2 years and they still are hiding information about Obama and Hillary from us. Well I am not buying it. Trump is to blame. He is the swamp too.

Following Trump's example, if I wanted to guard my hen house, I would hire the little pig's three wolves.

It just astounds me that after only 10 years, people have totally forgotten what the very people Trump put in charge of the treasury did to the world's economy.

Those who forget the past are bound to repeat it - hold on folks it's going to get turbulent.

So... You put the current president and vice president together, but not the previous? Obama and Biden sound a lot like obide(n). What does Trump and nation sound like? Trumpation? Trunation? Trumpination? Autocorrect wants to turn it to termination. God terminates sin. Is Trump sinful? You can make any ridiculous case in any situation. How about Nixon and Nation? Nixination? Nixation? Sounds a lot like Knicks Nation. Is God a New York Knicks fan? They won the NBA title during Nixon's presidency.

How about Washington and country? Lincoln and America? It doesn't do a bit of good to put things together for your own agenda. You become another CNN and Fox news. Alternative facts.

That's pretty good, but if you want to use "abide" you need to ask yourself "abide in what". Since Obama is a muslim, he was and is "abiding" in the Koran.

Better yet is to use "obeid" sounds like obide, this is a city in Sudan defeated by mahdi's and islam in 1883. Another connection to muslims

Also, did you know the number 7 is considered a holy number as God rested on the 7th day ? Just so happens on Donald Trump's first full day in office he was 70 years, 7 months, and 7 days old ( 777 ). Just another remarkable coincidence. I guess ?
