People thought he was a fool for running for office too, didn't they, but look who won.
That says more about US voters than Trump. If he follows through with his threats his Presidency may be the least of his worries.

What it says is that many voters finally woke up and got tired of all the Socialism and pro-Islam policies of Obama. Trump is "responding" to threats, something the liberals cannot comprehend.

FALSE. Damascus has been attacked and conquered, but it has never ceased to be a city.

ISIAH 17:1 The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.

The verse says "Damascus is taken away from being a city". That has never happened before.
You're obsessed with the King James rendering. Study the matter in the LXX and the original languages (Greek/Hebrew), and what happened historically, and it will become obvious that Damascus was indeed destroyed.

Russia could simply explode nuclear devices high in the atmosphere producing an EMP pulse that would destroy the US electric grid. No food, no water, nuclear reactors melting down, chaos and violence everywhere. Except as a third world hell-hole, the US would cease to exist.

Isaiah 17:1
The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city,
and it shall be a ruinous heap. - KJV

A message about Damascus: "Look! Damascus will cease to be a city.
Instead, it will become a pile of ruins. - ISV

This is the divine revelation about Damascus. "Damascus will no longer be a city.
It will become a pile of rubble. - GW
It is not a KJV rendering
do a verse comparison and you will get similar results
even in contemporary versions

Damascus will cease to be - and that has not happened before

(LITV) The burden of Damascus: Behold, Damascus is taken away
from being a city, and it shall be a ruined heap.

(YLT) The burden of Damascus. Lo, Damascus is taken away from
being a city, And it hath been a heap--a ruin.

(NBLH) Oráculo (Profecía) contra Damasco: "Damasco dejará de ser ciudad, Y vendrá a ser un montón de ruinas.

That's exactly what happened. Damascus was a city-kingdom that was destroyed in 732 BC by Tiglath-pileser, who wrote in his Annals:

“I took 800 people together with their property, their cattle (and) their sheep as spoil. I took 750 captives of the cities of Kurussa (and) Sama (as well as) 550 captives from the city of Metuna as spoil. I destroyed 591 cities from the 16 districts of Damascus like ruins from the Flood.”

That prophecy also describes the downfall of Isarel (Ephraim) that happened 10 years later in 722 BC.

Really how come Trump warned Obama not to mess with Syria and now lo and behold he is contemplating the same response. Does the US have.'' liberal ''missiles and'' republican'' ones? Perhaps they are the bright smart shiny ones he tweeted about. As for voters waking up, their previous supposed sleep will seem like a mere Cat Nap compared to what good old Trumps wake up call may lead to.

Why would Assad start gassing his own population after a supposed triumph? It makes no sense. He's a cruel man, but I wouldn't say he's sadistic.

That and suppose for a moment the news reports are accurate. That he did use chemical weapons on his people.

What good will American intervention do and at what probable cost? What kind of regime will we put in place if his crumbles? A Turkish satellite? An Iranian satellite, a faux democracy? ISIS mk. II?

What is Syria's ultimate importance to American interests? Zilch beyond maybe imperial bragging rights. Our civilization's existence isn't somehow jeopardized by Assad being in power. Our economy isn't tied at the hip with Syria's.

If we do go to war, it would behoove us to at least discuss these issues out in the open and draft a formal declaration with better reasons than the Wilsonian buzzwords of "human rights" and "self-determination." Please.

I wouldn't exclude the possibility Trump is bluffing. We'll see.

But if he isn't, I agree with you. I'm checking the box "against all the above."

War sucks.

I have not seen any evidence that it ever became uninhabited and ceased to be a city. Nagasaki and Hiroshima were also destroyed yet they are still inhabited and still a city. Your point of being "destroyed" proves nothing. Damascus is still a city so obviously it has not yet ceased to be one.

Maybe you missed my thread, about the growing Russian and China axes. Plenty
of proof there, and Why I watch Russia and China grow into a World power.

America has lost The Pride of its Power, and the ability to use it.

There will not be an all out war [yet], we can not even contain Iran.
But [trade wars] will be [first] againest America, by China and Europe.

Do you contend that the U.S. cannot also destroy Russia ? Where is your proof that one is any more vulnerable than the other ?

That is not "proof" that China and Russia are more powerful than the U.S. and it's allies. All of that is speculation and your opinion.

When nukes start to explode and burn entire cities and then comes
the nuclear winter > no sunlight, no moon ...
it doesn't really matter any more who is bigger and stronger than
the other.
