The "conservative" rebuttal to "an honest day's work" is: "An honest day's work is very subjective! One can buy a package of ramen noodles for $0.20 and have a meal, so paying him/her $1.00/day is enough to cover 3 meals and dessert!"

Warren Buffet, a billionaire, complained that he was paying less in taxes than his secretary... Before anyone says "Well maybe he should give away millions and billions if he feels that strongly about it....", he already has!
Yep. The world they want to live in -medieval fiefdoms - scares the bejebbers out of me.

And Warren Buffet is a saint. See now, it's really the love of money that creates problems, not the money itself. Unfortunately Warren Buffet and Gary Kelly are about the only rich guys left who understand that and live it accordingly.

Honestly, the world is marching double step towards the antichrist government. And it's fruitless to think Adolph and I am going to do anything to change that. It's also naive for any of us to think it's going to be led there by a succession of moral Godly men. The only thing that amazes me is, the number of Christians who are marching unknowingly in lock step to achieve that goal. It absolutely astounds me. But hey if it gets it here quicker ...

Ephphatha! my friends, my brothers and sisters...

You have no clue what a CEO does do you?
No, I guess I didn't learn much as one. If a man worked for me, I made sure that he had a living wage and health insurance, along with a decent 401K.

Total evasion.

Most Christian conservatives are not CEO's and you know it. They're predominantly middle class and sometimes make their way into the upper-middle class. Some would even be tempted to agree with your dimestore Marxism out of a sense of fairness.

A pretty solid majority hold to a more radically Jeffersonian interpretation of "All Men Are Created Equal" than even Jefferson!

If you want to strawman them as a bunch of corporate, throne and altar aristocrats, that's your prerogative.

Really? Show me a supposedly Christian CEO who believes the restaurant dish washer is equal with him. And then show me a supposedly Christian CEO who's willing to pay that dishwasher a living wage that will provide food shelter and health care, like he has.

Out of curiosity....

What is YOUR definition of a "living wage" ? I mean, dollars and cents.

Let's work through this, and see if we can come up with some numbers, and some solutions.

The "value added" by any employee is variable. In the company where I work, we have manufacturing employees that get hired, basically if they are breathing. No learned skills, other than basic existence skills. Generally no education beyond a HS diploma or equivalent.

They start at around $12 an hour, and are taught, on the job, "push this button, remove this part", etc....

They are quickly and easily replaceable. (not trying to sound cruel, just the facts of business). There is a "ladder" they can climb, if they show the ability.

Then you have the technical level, starting with equipment technicians. These people have at least a 2 year degree in some technical field. I think most of them start at around $18-19 per hour. Some of these techs have several years of experience "fixing things", and the expertise to do that.

These employees are not as easy to replace.. the requirements are more stringent.

Then you have upper level technical people... the senior technicians. Their pay is usually $20-21 and up, depending on experience/ability/tenure. Some of them have 25+ years experience.

These people are even more difficult to replace.

Then you go into the engineer level... wages go higher, depending on experience and education level. An engineer with a BS degree won't make as much as an engineer with two PhD's.....

You see the progression? Which employee adds more to the company? Which is easier to replace? Those issues, and many others contribute to the idea of "who is worth more?"

Do you think that all of those people should make the same "living wage" ? What about the manufacturing operator, with 6 kids, should he make more than the engineer tech, whose kids are all grown and gone? He probably has a higher "wage need" than the engineer, doesn't he?

Does his higher "wage need" negate the fact that the engineer spent years getting a degree, improving himself, and then more years gaining experience and knowledge? Is the "living wage" based strictly on how many mouths to feed an employee has?

Paying a person the same monies you receive doesn't prove they believe the person is equal to them, nor does receiving more pay than others without equalizing said pay prove the opposite. You really need to drop watching CNN, MSNBC, CBS, FOX, and ABC, they're doing a number on you.

I'm sorry that you cannot discern that he was a leftist liberal activist and practicing sodomite. Did you think he was a straight conservative Christian?

Preacher4truth:
God is love. God has asked us to love our neighbours ... all of them. I will assume he meant the liberal ones, the gay ones and the straight, conservative ones.
What say you in response?

I mean this is almost unbelievable, but this is one absurd illogical end of the leftist satanic agenda:

David Buckel, prominent gay rights lawyer, burns himself to death in New York to protest global warming | Fox News

Satan is literally laughing at this, and this leftist ideology is eclipsing our world. There is only one hope and it is Christ and his message is the Gospel.

Our world has gone insane...

Umm, no. One person was "insane" or "mentally ill" and I feel bad for that man. Nothing to do with global warming ... for sure or lots of people would be immolating themselves. Not satan .. but mental illness.

"our world has gone insane" ... have you any idea how many generations of people have been saying this???

Just a thread to bash those we do not like and those we disagree with.

Wow this is your first post . Your sure to be a joy to have around. .
So what’s the point ? You said that folks have been saying our world has gone insane for generations. That dose not refute the statement. If you have a different view post it . So far you have only demonstrated that you are the one that is posting to bash .
P4T has already made his argument. . One I tend to agree with.
You could just read here . Romans 1: 28 And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. 29They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, 31 foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. 32 Though they know God’s righteous decree that those who practice such things d deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.”
Seems to fit .

If I understand you correctly, you are saying that setting oneself on fire to protest something is NOT insane? I don't care if it was Dave Ramsey protesting the lowering of compound interest... anybody that sets themselves on fire is insane.

Has nothing to do with my agreement or disagreement with their politics...

I'm still waiting for some hard numbers as to what a "living wage" is.

Please read my first sentence again. I say very clearly that the man was insane, not demon filled or evil. Just mentally ill. It seems that this one man's action was used to say that all "leftists" (whatever that divisive term means) are insane.

I may be wrong but the title of this post is: Leftism is Lunacy and then uses one man (a homosexual on) to demonise the entire left.

As to my comment about the world going to H** in a handbasket? That has been said since tim began. In some ways things ARE worse, but in others they are better.

Have a good weekend all. I will check back Monday.

Hard numbers are highly dependent on where your business is located. This is the rule that I have always followed. After taxes and social security, I set the minimum salary of my employees at 20% above the cost of housing, food, commuting, education and clothing for a family of four. I also provided good health care and a 401K to everyone.

I think the best answer to your question is with a question. Does your employee need a government subsidy to work for you?

So should we conclude that you agree with Left-Liberal Lunacy and Trump Derangement Syndrome?

The antidote for all these nuts is to purchase a MAGA hat and wear it. Maybe it will give them food for thought.
