These events are very serious signs, and should not be taken lightly:
There are many symbolic connections to the Bible.
I just deliver the news--for the glory of God in Jesus name, to "prepare the way of the LORD."

***this photo is copyrighted; CNN (dot)com; April 19th, 2018

Summary-- (a lot of this relates to America, but, we do not have a monopoly on prophecy--I just happen to live here; I invite world commentary on these revelations and others around the world)
-- Blue and white plane matches the flag of Israel.
-- Plane diverted to Philadelphia, home of the Eagles football team with the massive asteroid flyby during Superbowl.
-- Connection to Isaiah 40:31: "They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary."
-- Lady pilot is a symbolic connection to 1986 Voyager aircraft and Revelation 12; She is a Christian.
-- Similar accident as Apollo 13-- engine explosion;
-- Similar to "Miracle on the Hudson" both planes took off from La Guardia airport which means "guardian" (angels).
-- Birds have a high place in the Bible and God instructs the Israelites to put them on the sacred curtain.
-- Biblical lesson in good stewardship--being sober, of good character, and a clear mind; Character matters.
-- Confirmation by prophetic dreams and Christian consensus.

More details:
The plane diverted to Philadelphia, home of the Eagles football team that won the Superbowl as a massive asteroid passed by the earth, similar to the one in the movie: "Armaggedon." There is another smaller asteroid returning in 2029 that will pass close enough to take out a satellite, and was quoted as being large enough to destroy the state of Texas, if it came any closer.

There is a symbolic connection to the Challenger event in 1986, with a "teacher," onboard having a feminine form of the name of Christ, who was a teacher. I see that event as relating to Revelation 12, where the serpent tried to destroy the woman "clothed with the sun," (Southwest Airlines is in a sunny area also) The serpent tried to destroy the woman's child (Mary) trying to destroy Christ by striking the space-vessel, which also symbolized the "Ark of the Covenant," and the vessel of faith of the New Covenant, which is Jesus, Who said, "the gates of Hell cannot destroy His Church." (All true Christians).

challenger.jpg

"BUT THE WOMAN WAS GIVEN THE TWO WINGS OF A GREAT EAGLE, SO THAT SHE MIGHT FLY TO THE PLACE PREPARED FOR HER IN THE WILDERNESS." (Revelation 12:14).

A lady pilot was also on board the Voyager aircraft as a co-pilot and flew the plane around the world.

voyager_18.jpg

Some other symbolism of the Southwest Airlines emergency is the plane banked left 41 degrees and then the pilots were able to straighten it up: "Straighten up and fly right!"
Which also could mean:
"Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near!
--John the Baptist and Jesus of Nazareth

These events are confirmed by a prophetic dream I had around 1986 of the return of Jesus-- the Lord approached the earth with unimaginable power and passed by a space station (symbolizing world cooperation and teamwork, which also brought Apollo 13 home safe); I also had a dream this morning with an image of a shower, and impression of someone calling another Christian and believing that the "rapture was imminent," symbolizing Christians should "clean up our lives," to prepare the way of the Lord.

While the two safe landings of Captain Sully and Southwest Air, piloted by a Christian lady, could symbolize God's mercy and safety for those who follow Jesus, they could also symbolize the validity of the "Left Behind" idea where the planes did not land safely following the rapture, to signal the return of Jesus and end times, and approaching Armageddon.

um

this is Romanian flag:

View attachment 180882

maybe take a closer look at the plane in the picture you posted?
Thanks for that, I didn't know it was the Romanian flag-- I knew there were yellow and red, but I just was referring to the blue and white section. I bet Romania fits into this picture also--

Cherubim are not birds.

They made the curtain of blue, purple and scarlet yarn and finely twisted linen, with cherubim woven into it by a skilled worker.

He made the curtain of blue, purple and crimson yarn and fine linen, with cherubim worked into it.

Good grief... this is not news. It's pure, unadulterated conspiracy/false prophecy stuff. This thread should be moved, IMO.

Or, I could just ignore this thread..... which I will do, from here onward.

Or it could just be an engine failure caused by metal fatigue because Southwest flies their planes over many short flights just like the Aloha Airlines 737 that lost part of its fuselage in 1988. One person got sucked out of that one too... and I don't think they ever recovered her body..

Aloha flew short hops between islands so the structure of the plane was getting pressured and de-pressurized more often than other carrier's 737s... Same principle with Southwest. I believe that they take off and land more frequently than other carriers and takeoffs put a lot of stress on engines. Required-maintenance schedules are based on flight hours, not number of takeoffs and landings... so maybe that has to change!

Also forgot to mention that metal fatigue on a fan blade is what caused a United DC-10 to crash in the 1990's. The blade tore through the engine causing an explosion like the one on Southwest, but it also severed the DC-10's hydraulic lines so the pliots had to greatly improvise using the engines on the wings to steer the plane.

After that incident, regular thorough inspections of fan blades became mandatory and special equipment is necessary because the fatigue isn't detectable by the naked eye... But it looks like either Southwest didn't inspect this plane's blades when they were supposed to, or they need to be inspected more often...

Um, if you want to take the Challenger disaster as a heavenly sign mimicking this passage in Revelation, you do realize that the spacecraft exploded and everyone on board was killed, right? So it would be as though Satan succeeded?

(Southwest Airlines is in a sunny area also)
unless you base your HQ at the north or south pole, everywhere else on earth gets an average 12 hours of sunshine and 12 hours of darkness per day, so..

.. what do you mean, "
is in a sunny area" ? they fly out of hundreds of cities with at least 10 major hubs and a dozen other traffic focus points spread out all over the country.

Wouldn't it be better for you to pay attention to more important spiritual matters rather than obsessing about "signs"?

ok, looking it up now-- this was in response to saying God considers birds to have a high place in the Bible; this is a good Bible reference site regarding birds in the Bible:

20 Inspirational Bible Verses About Birds

ok, it appears you are correct-- the Cherubim in the tabernacle curtain, are Angels that serve the throne of God--- they have six wings and multiple eyes, two wings shielded their eyes from the great glory of God's presence, two were for flying, and can't remember the other two. I believe they are the highest ranking Angels. But, like many things in this world, birds represent heaven, just like Jesus is the perfect image of God's Divine Presence:

This is a quote from the "Living Stream Ministry" at www.ministrysamples (dot) org; (I believe it is legal to quote partial text like this with a strict copyright policy as long as the source is correctly identified);

"Colossians 2:9 says, “For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.” This is a very great verse in the Bible. All the words used here, such as all, fullness, and Godhead, are very special. The Greek word for Godhead is theotes, which is very similar to the Greek word theiotes used in Romans 1:20 for divine characteristics with only a one-letter difference. Both are derived from the same Greek word. Therefore, the King James Version translates both words as Godhead. Theiotes denotes the divine characteristics manifested through the created things, while theotes denotes the deity of Christ. I have used wood grain as an illustration. The meeting hall in Irving, Texas was built with oak, which is a unique product of Texas. The Texan oak has a very striking grain. It is a distinctive feature of the Texan oak, or we may say, it is a characteristic of the nature of the Texan oak." (Living Stream Ministry; Witness Lee; www.ministrysamples.org; copyright 2014);

While the Cherubim on the tabernacle curtain are not birds, they are represented by birds. And birds and fishes were the first two living creatures to be created in Genesis 1:20-23 on the fifth day-- "'Let the fish multiply and fill the oceans. Let the birds increase and fill the earth.' This happened on the fifth day.'" (Genesis 1: 23; NLT).

Other mention of birds in the Bible are:
"I know every bird on the mountains" (Psalm 50:11)

Deuteronomy 22:6-7 “If you happen to come upon a bird’s nest along the way, in any tree or on the ground, with young ones or eggs, and the mother sitting on the young or on the eggs, you shall not take the mother with the young; you shall certainly let the mother go, but the young you may take for yourself, in order that it may be well with you and that you may prolong your days.” (biblereasons.com/birds/)

And the famous sermon of Jesus:
"Consider the ravens...!" (Matt. 6:26, KJV); or "Look at the birds(!) They don't plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them." (Matt. 6:26; NLT)

"What is the price of two sparrows--one copper coin? But not a single sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father
knowing it. (Matt. 10:29; ESV).

"Like the birds hovering overhead, the LORD Almighty will shield Jerusalem; He will shield it and deliver it, He will 'pass over it' and will rescue it." (Isaiah 31:5)

The flight #1380, I don't see a biblical reference unless you break up the numbers which according to my rules of interpreting biblical numbers is not allowed. It's okay to drop zeros but 138? nothing! It's also not okay to add the digits which equal 12 but that doesn't always mean anything, in fact it rarely does. The number of mechanics that complained to Southwest CEO about lack of maintenance is about 2300. I don't know the exact number of mechanics in their union. see Daniel 8 for the numbers 2300 but since the flight number doesn't have a biblical reference, the 2300 mechanics don't apply to
Daniel 8.

Without being disrespectful to the loss of life of the flight attendant in the Aloha flight, it also seems to by symbolic of the rapture-- Hawaiian and tropics are often referred to as paradise. But, it does fit the theme of Revelation 12 where the "serpent was enraged at the woman" (Mary) who gave birth to the male child (Jesus), and pursued her and her offspring (Christians);

As far as metal fatigue, I believe you are right that the number of take-offs and landings should be factored into safety. Believe it or not, while I never became a pilot, i did fly an ultralight in the early 90's, and the propeller shaft was damaged when it flipped in a windstorm when stored.
The shaft sheared at 3,000 feet and the prop hit the frame and shredded the trailing edge and could have caused total structural failure. While I had a state of the art rocket-deployed safety parachute for the whole aircraft, I didn't have to use it and my last flight ended safely in a field.

having internet problems so will just answer in general reply--
if hornetguy thinks this is so bogus, why is he always trying to fly to Costa Rica?
I liked your Spurgeon quote-- about if we are saved, we will be obedient to Christ in our hearts...
thank-you for that inspiration--
and wondering if zeroturbulence noticed his post on the Aloha Air story was post number 19,737 [737] "Boeing 737"

for Adolf Hipster-- Jesus said: if we can read the signs of the weather we should "read the signs of the times"
no stop sign here--
"go for throttle up!" "full-speed ahead!" locked in, committed; no turning back-- "take-off thrust"

other posters, i think this is a healthy obsessing...
post-human: Southwest Air-- the name on the jet is "southwest" where it is mostly desert-- as in sunny--right?
And Edwards Airforce Base is there too, isn't it? where the shuttle landed, Voyager aircraft?

Enoch 987-- that's not good math-- 2300 complaints from mechanics; but, it still could be unrelated as in they may not have been able to spot the issue;
There's one mechanic they listened to:
The technician in the movie "Apollo 13"
"From my chair here, Gene, this is how I see it..." he recognized the emergency as one that had become survival, even from all those miles away. Same with Captain Sully: he "eye-balled it," and knew he didn't have enough altitude; And the pilots of Southwest 1380, reacted in time to stop the roll-- probably took both of them too; aren't those jets heavy as tanks when stuff goes out?

I"m not trying for humor here, but, in an emergency like these, "Maverick" of "Top Gun," (Paramount; 1986) is right:
"there's no time to think." "if you think...you're dead." (or read the checklist) (quote from memory) you have to react-- be one with the plane...
you know what to do, because you just know what to do-- you feel it; you have divine help to remain calm; and angelic guidance hopefully...

Um, if you want to take the Challenger disaster as a heavenly sign mimicking this passage in Revelation, you do realize that the spacecraft exploded and everyone on board was killed, right? So it would be as though Satan succeeded?
So, did the serpent win when he/it thought he struck down Christ on the cross? There have been many Christians killed over the centuries defending the faith.
Neither did the serpent win when he struck down a crew and female passenger named after Christ.
There were 135 missions of the space shuttle over 30 years, which was used to help assemble the ISS international space station, along with Russian rockets. The station is divided into the Russian side and the American side, in a low-earth orbit at a speed of about 28,000 KPH, which is possible since there is no air resistance for the stations arrays, which look like two giant wings. This is a successful international space mission.

Amazingly, the first man to orbit the earth, a Russian/Soviet Cosmonaut, Yuri Gagarin, took place April 12th, 1961 only 58 years after the first flight of the Wright Brother's plane (1903). The first space shuttle launched also on April 12th, 1981, only two decades later. These are amazing achievements for humanity. There were 306 men and 49 women involved in the 30 years of space shuttle missions, that involved 16 countries. The shuttle orbited at a speed of about 17,500 MPH or 28,000 KPH, in order to stay in orbit around the earth, and re-entered the earths atmosphere, an amazing and dangerous accomplishment for a space-plane to encounter the air at Mach 25 (25 times the speed of sound), at temperatures of 3,000 degrees. The F-15 eagle fighter jet has a maximum speed of over twice the speed of sound (Mach II), or roughly 1656 MPH, which it can not sustain for very long due to high temperatures heating the metal airframe.
You can see what an amazing accomplishment this space plane was.

I believe that God the creator of us perfectly imperfect people is greatly pleased by such amazing accomplishments, but, yet He chose to enter history during a time period of the speed of a donkey for travel or walking speed, since the mission of Jesus was social and spiritual. As He was Himself born, the Lord takes much more pleasure in the birth of a baby, than the birth of a space-ship, since a human-being has even more value than an entire galaxy void of life.

This world is created by God, who walked the earth as Jesus, and is perfectly designed for the purposes of preparing us people for eternity-- to help people through agonizing realities to choose between good and evil. While it seems like a brutal place of chaos, this world is created just as it must be. If God could have created it differently, He would have. The reason the world is so brutal is that so many people use their God-given free-will (not every free-choice) to choose evil over good instead of working together to make the world the best place it can be. The world appears to be at a place where divine intervention is necessary to save us from ourselves. I don't believe God will allow the madmen, fueled by demons, to destroy the world's environment, or it's peaceful ways of life. That's why Jesus said, "the meek will inherit the earth." And He meant it. And He has the power to make it happen.

Now in 2018, some 200 centuries after Jesus lived, Christians make up 31% of the world's 7.3 billion people.
Almost 2.5 Billion people. Against one violent, deluded, serpent doomed for chains and eternal separation from God's divine Light and friendship, in a place of unbearable, unhappy chaos, unspeakable emptiness, war and darkness; Both physical and spiritual.
So, who is winning?
Whose side are you on?
Where do you want to spend eternity?

The message of salvation is still the same as 2,000 years ago, beginning some 3,000 years ago with Moses and the prophets, and John the Baptist and Jesus of Nazareth:
"Today is the day of salvation."
"Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near."
"judgement day is upon us."

Eternity is a heartbeat away every day...
