You know that old saying about how there will never be peace in the middle east until the Palestinians learn to love their children more than they hate Israelis?

It's a very similar situation here.
The Palestinians weapon of choice is rocks.

Seriously, what would you do if you or someone you loved lost someone to gun violence?

I'm not an evangelical and I'm fine with criticism.

I just don't accept OP's so thoroughly presumptive, ill-informed, and pietistic. I don't even know where to begin my evaluation.

No one listens to you and evangelicals because you can never accept criticism.

All I want is a simple honest discussion. How is making fun of people who want that going to change anything? Just makes you look like a jerk.

Machetes and home-made explosives too. Anything Soviet surplus is also chic, even rusted parts of a broken-down Trebant.

The Palestinians weapon of choice is rocks.

If you're looking for a negotiation on legislation, further weapon restrictions are a non-starter.

I listen to Tommy. Why would it make you feel better if he brought the pressure cooker bomb, or pipe bomb in and killed 10?

You had it right when you said there is evil in the world. But why can't your mind understand that evil don't pay attention to laws and would LOVE an unarmed citizenry?

Final point. They are outlawing the purchase of knives in London because of all the knife deaths. If this doesn't make you understand it's not about a gun, then I give up!

I don't care if it's sin. Guns kill more people and way faster than knives do. There are different kinds of knives for different purposes. Guns are used for one reason and one reason only: to kill. I'm glad we have a right to bear arms, but I hope you are pretty darned aware of the responsibility you have when you carry one. You could end up accidentally shooting someone who was just reaching for their phone.

So what if criminals are going to avoid the law? Should we not have laws then? Should we just let anarchy erupt?

The people who have the power to do that, the armed police and the mental health services, are not doing that and therefore are not doing their jobs.

For that matter, why did this guy's dad just let his son have easy access to his weapons? He's going to suffer guilt by association and neglect.

Well, if the government can't do their jobs, why you expect them to enforce even more laws?

Then we need to be louder than ever if we want to enforce the laws we already have.
