You sound like Yoda :p
Or Splinter,or Sir Theodore, but it's a valid point that anger can lead to bad decisions, righteous anger is one thing but anger in a trivial sense leads to bad judgement sometimes even "delusion".

You mean YOU and everyone else who says such things should be ashamed of YOURSELVES. Do you want to live in fear of getting shot every day? Do you want to lose your best friend you've known since kindergarten to violence? Do you want to lose your child in that way? Do you want your child to turn to such evil?

We adults really are to blame for doing nothing in the face of such evil.

THIS SCHOOL HAD A SHOOTING PLAN, ARMED OFFICERS, AND PRACTICE, AND STILL! 10 PEOPLE DIED!!!

Look at this facebook post from the police chief of Houston.

"To all my Facebook friends. Today I spent the day dealing with another mass shooting of children and a responding police officer who is clinging to life. I’m not ashamed to admit I’ve shed tears of sadness, pain and anger.

I know some have strong feelings about gun rights but I want you to know I’ve hit rock bottom and I am not interested in your views as it pertains to this issue. Please do not post anything about guns aren’t the problem and there’s little we can do. My feelings won’t be hurt if you de-friend me and I hope yours won’t be if you decide to post about your views and I de-friend you.

I have never accepted the status-quo in anything I do and I’ve never accepted defeat. And I won’t do it now. I will continue to speak up and will stand up for what my heart and my God commands me to do, and I assure you he hasn’t instructed me to believe that gun-rights are bestowed by him.

The hatred being spewed in our country and the new norms we, so-called people of faith are accepting, is as much to blame for so much of the violence in our once pragmatic Nation.

This isn’t a time for prayers, and study and Inaction, it’s a time for prayers, action and the asking of God’s forgiveness for our inaction (especially the elected officials that ran to the cameras today, acted in a solemn manner, called for prayers, and will once again do absolutely nothing).

I close by saying, I wish those that move on from this page the best. May God Bless you and keep you."

America was a far more civil place to live and raise a family before 1960. Better to take the kids to church on Sunday than to play baseball, soccer or go to gymnastics.

Too busy being amused to stop and pay attention to what God has done and is doing for our happiness.

If you have firearms in your home and you do not secure them and you don't secure them in a manner that can preclude someone from grabbing them and taking them and carrying out this carnage, there is a criminal liability that attaches.

I believe that anyone that owns a firearm that doesn't secure it properly and it ends up in the wrong hands and used to kill innocent people, that that should carry some significant consequences. We need to think about that on the national level across this country.

To your first paragraph: There is no criminal liability attached cause someone accessed the firearms of another without authority. Not where I live anyways. Where did your receive you Juris Doctorate from?

To your second paragraph: I don't believe you understand the scope and authority of the United States Congress.

I have 10 weapons in my house, all loaded (except the chamber) in corners, gun racks, by the bed, next to the lounge, bathroom and NOT one of them has killed anyone, wants to kill anyone, been used in a felony, robbery, and or in a manner that breaks the law.....the gun, amount of guns, type of guns is not the issue......Australia has some of the toughest gun laws in the world and I have spent 18 months there over the last 3.5 years and there is a SHOOTING almost every day by CRIMINALS that circumvent the gun laws and get a weapon....also....if a gun is not used a KNIFE IS.....the problem is the NATURE and INTENT of LOST men and women who have NO sense of morality and or who have lost their mind....

DID CAIN use a GUN to KILL ABEL?
DID LAMECH use a GUN to KILL the man he killed?
Did Timothy MCVEIGH use a GUN to KILL?
DID JACK the RIPPER use a GUN?
DID the NAZIS use a GUN in the GAS CHAMBERS?
DID JEFFERY DALHMER use a GUN or a DRILL?

We could take every gun in the world away and wicked people will still find ways to commit mass murder....................From CAIN to the last murderer alive on the planet.....if there is a will there is a way....end of story..........

No one wants to get rid of all guns. And the fact that there are people who will kill anyway doesn't matter. Might as well be a weapon free-for-all with that logic.

I bet you the farm, repeal all weapon laws, you would see no change in the rate of murder, one way or the other.

There were armed guards at that school. That school won safety awards. They were armed and had a plan ready, and 10 people still died.

Thanks for an idiotic answer.....and oh by the way...facts are facts.....concealed carry states have crime rates 25-27% lower than non concealed carry states.....your answers emphatically prove that you care less about the truth, the facts or even the kids that were shot, but rather just a platform for you to mouth, push your ideology and opinion without any regard for the actual facts on the ground....

and two guards roaming the halls does not equate to the level of security you are embellishing your views with....

Thanks for the name calling.

But don't you DARE tell me what my motives are. You don't know me and I don't know you. I have three nephews (age 7 and 1 and a third on the way). I have a 3 year old niece. I want people to finally come together and do something because what we're doing clearly is NOT working.
