Should I say I agree or say I'm an alien from Mars...decisions decisions.... LOL!

In all seriousness I think there should be a law. Porn is tearing up people's homes/marriages. But I think that it'd take more than just banning hard-core. We really need to pull it up from its roots and ban any kind of porn. But there's a 99% chance that won't happen :/ but I guess banning the hardcore would help.

Because it's going to turn into another invasion of privacy issue. Can you have sex with your wife/husband? NO!

I see, zeroturbulence, that you didn't distinguish any kind of difference there, but isn't porn porn? If it isn't, I never knew there was a difference O_O

I think it would be great if we had a law banning it.

I seriously don't see how porn tears up people's homes/marriages.

I disagree with that, what people want to watch in the privacy of their own homes is their business and not that of the presidents.

I agree in that should be a law against pornography and in what this guy say "Pornography is toxic to marriages and relationships. It contributes to misogyny and violence against women. It is a contributing factor to prostitution and sex trafficking", it seems that he is trying to protect women and i like it.

I have seen how ppl attack him because of his believes, but i havent seen anything very away from what bible say.
I watched a show when they were making mockering of him because he talked against birth control, and if they hear only that he is against birth control then it sounds as too much, but the complete sentence that he said was that he didnt believe in birth control because he was against sex outside the marriage (which is what bible says), so i think that many ppl is scared about what this guy says just because they are sinning.

I'm sorry but I don't think the bible should rule the nation, he shouldn't be making laws based on his religious beliefs, he's entitled to have those beliefs but shouldn't be pushing them on everyone.

i thought porn was already illegal?

I religiously believe murder is wrong and should have laws against it.......is anyone going to argue that I'm wrong because the policy affirms my religious beliefs?

or should we not "push them on everyone"

It's the whole; "My Morality vs. Your Morality" thing, but one side isn't admitting to what they do.

see it says its ILLEGAL in the article:

"The former Pennsylvania senator states that, "as a parent, I am concerned about the widespread distribution of illegal obscene pornography and its profound effects on our culture."

its politics. he wants stricter enforcement against porn which is already illegal and more censorship of the internet, which a totally different topic really.

It's a fact that pornography only destroys persons and relationships so I agree with Santorum on this one.

I just wish I could totally stop looking at it. ;_;
You've already defeated yourself with that kind of attitude. I say this from personal experience.

Its not about only "religious beliefs", or "my morality against your morality", if bible tell us to do or not something is because its the best for us as humans its not only because God had an "idea" to forbid something just because, its because he made us and know what is better for us.

Besides that, as i understand, the laws are made to protect life, for health and to be able to live in peace in a country and if you allow porn then it has consecuences like violence, divorces, child abuse, prostitution and its really ridiculous that goverment dont put laws to stop the "origin" of the things that will cause a need of hospitals, jails, and more money of the goverment expended in things to be able to manage the consecuenses for not putting a stop from the begining.

Besides that, there are a lot of children looking in the internet nowdays, and we have the right to protect them from all the bad things that are inside the internet. Im aware that we cant protect them from everything but we can make an effort to have a safer place for them.
