It's not up to me to decide who is and who is not a christian. It's not up to those you described above to say I'm not either. :) It's up to the Lord and HE says we would be known by our LOVE and our FRUIT, not by hatred and bigotry.

As far as what the definition of a christian is, the only one that matters to me is His.

I have compassion for those who have been bullied by those who claim to do it in the name of my Lord, but that doesn't mean I'm willing to be the punching bag who answers to you for their failings. :) It's been interesting talking with you. Take care!
Well, if you say it that way, there's not much I can disagree with :p
And I would never want to turn you into a punching bag for their failings. The way I see it, any religion is just a group of people, and people are good and bad. I just attack a pre-concieved notion that all christians are good, and if someone is bad, then he's not really a true christian. All groups of people deserve an equal amount of praise and respect at a basic level, anything more than that is entirely up to the actions of the people in that group. People act responsibly and charitably, respect goes up. They do bad things, respect goes down. I just want to strip people of their deluded view that their group is the best and all others are bad, no exceptions. I'm not here to turn people into punching bags for the actions of others :p

Interesting talking to you too! Take care!

i agree that church leaders are responsible for speaking the truth but they are also responsible for choosing the specific truths they speak. its always an easy sermon topic if you hadn't thought much about it during the week "Sodomy is bad, San Francisco is an (excuse the expression) hotbed of evil.!" During the height of the financial meltdown when more and more people were living under bridges at the same time that whole neighborhoods were filled with empty houses i dont think there were many sermons focused on usury as sin or stepping over the beggar in our doorway (except as a description of the horrors off hell.) Did we ever see a bulletin board saying: "Usury is sin and Wall St is a nest of vipers"

“There is a lot of bullying directed at Christian kids in public schools and the culture at large,” said Gary Brown, founder of Reach America. “So many teenagers are being ostracized for being a Christian.”

Reach America is a national organized based in Coeur d’Alene, Id., that is dedicated to raising up the next generation of Christian leaders. The group is comprised of young people from various churches around the region.

Brown said they decided to produce a video based on the debate that came about after the school teacher refused to allow students to mention God in their papers.

“One of the girls asked why,” Brown told Fox News. “It turned into a video where Christianity is being frozen out of the American culture. These teenagers say it’s time for a thaw.”

It's one thing to teach that Homosexuality is a sin. But if it were teaching them to dehumanize someone who is gay, that's a different story.
I've seen many people on this very site equating gays to paedophiles and murderers.

The Obama administration, the liberal media, and immoral demographics like homosexuals are engaged in fostering a culture of hate against Christians as per their "religion" of postmodern political correctness which is the explicit elimination of language and practices (e.g. like genuine Christianity) which could offend immoral people in matters of morality right down to the children in public school. Tools like Dan Savage are the immoral bully feet on the ground happily doing the bullying.
