Women do it to themselves.
Also I wonder if I could get someone to pay for some.pectoral implants for me.

1) Ever seen Shallow Hal where everyone looks the same on the inside AND outside so that good people are beautiful and bad people are ugly, wish the world were that way sometimes
2) As technology progresses even bigger questions around synthetic, cybernetic, and genetic alteration arise. What is the general Christian view of these kinds of alterations?
3) I personally think that plastic surgery is silly unless its for legitimate reasons such as facial reconstruction. I think people have always been vain its just with new technology people are given new ways to achieve their perception of beauty

Why would anyone want to do that to themselves... I don't find it the least bit attractive.

What I find even more disturbing are her "spiritual" practices. According to her own words, she teaches in seminars to "leave the physical body and travel in pure spirit through endless expanses of the universe". She claims she's written songs there, and writes them down when she wakes up.

Poor child! Although I suspect that is is also a pretty big money maker for her, it's so dangerous, spiritually speaking.

I'll say one thing for her--she must be really good with pain to have undergone surgery that actually involves b-o-n-e! (she says it's just good genes, but my daughters showed me before and after photos---definitely LOTS of surgery. I do pray for her from time to time. Thanks, Lucy, for today's reminder to pray for Valeria! <3

That blank expression is rather scary....I think it involves an emotional blankness also. Is this a new way of 'medicating'?

That's uber creepy spooky, Lucy. I can't imagine that anyone feeling the need to do that doesn't have serious issues.

There are scriptures about defiling one's body, so I suppose it would depend upon one's definition of what it means to defile your body that would tell one whether or not it would be against scripture.

Plastic surgery can be physically and psychologically beneficial, but, like Jack, I'm not a fan of doing it as a hobby. I lost a friend a few years back who thought her arms were too fat/ugly. She died from complications of cosmetic surgery leaving small children behind.
