Just found out that Katie Holmes is divorcing Tom Cruise to protect her young child from being put through Scientology boot camp. Those involved in the cult are forced to sign a one-billion-year pledge to symbolize their eternal commitment to the religion and if a member leaves they are to be cut off from their family that are still involved in the cult. I was reading that Katie married him hoping he would quit the Scientology but instead he became more committed and she probably did not realize how in depth the cult was, particularly for her young child.

If Tom Cruise managed to get custody of their child, like he did with the two from his previous marriage, the child would be forced into Scientology from a young age, giving Katie limited access because the cult forbids relationships with family that are no longer members. I really don't see this happening as a child needs it's mother and any court would choose to protect the child, one would hope. There is more chance the mother will win custody.

Scientology want to control the future of this young child. I pray that God will protect them, especially this little girl, from the grips of this horrible cult!

She was actually clever about the whole thing.
Contacted 3 different lawyers situated in 3 different locations, and spoke to Nicole Kidman ahead of time, via pay-phone.

The C of S operates like an organized crime group: they stalk, spy, monitor, and threaten anyone who may be a threat to them.

Good for Katie and her daughter. Tom Cruise may be a decent actor (sometimes), but he is also a lunatic, as are hard-core scientologists such as himself.

If I were running the cult, I'd stop at a couple million years. But that's just me!

Don't forget, Katie's dad is also a fairly powerful lawyer, whose portfolio includes matrimonial law.

By the way, if I mention that the Holmes are Catholic, will this automatically guarantee that the thread goes a hundred pages?

Prayers sent for God's hands to be in this...

My husband worked for a man from 1983 to 1995, in 1992 he got into Scientology.
He tried to get all his employees involved too.
My husband tried to talk me into it until...
His boss cancelled everyones health insurance with out telling them,
And stated writing my husband bad pay checks.
My husband quit his job, and a few months later the business went under.
(It had been successful for over 25yrs.)

I can give this man some of the credit for getting me closer to God.
I went to the bible for answers, and had to do alot of praying at this time.
This built up my faith, and made me want to know more.
God took care of us through all the bad pay checks and no health insurance.

In this circumstance God used Scientology for the good of those who love Him,
God used it to get me to know and love him more!!!
