In the United States...stats show only30% of Christians vote...and of that 30%...15% only vote for the president...

EYE OPENER!!!!

We represent God...and have to represent Him in the polls as well.

I do not like politics...I'm guilty of not voting a few times.

Look for truth...not promises... to know who to vote for.
Google the politician's name and see what they have actually DONE to further the gospel...rather than go on what they propose to DO.

We in the US have the gift of being able to vote.
We as Christians have the responsibilty to see it happen.

See you at the polls.

I did that, and that's why I'm not voting. :)

I may vote, but not for either of the two major candidates.

I don't know, I think it's a good start. Let's talk about the Gospel. What did Jesus command? "Love God, and Love your Neighbor."

And then, the lawyer asked, "And who is my neighbor?"

You remember how Jesus responded to that question.

So, what Jesus has commanded us to do:

Did Jesus tell us to feed those who were already filled, and then let those full people turn around and feed the hungry? NO! Jesus told US to feed the hungry.

Did Jesus tell us to minister to people who were healthy, and then those healthy people could turn around and take care of the sick? No, Jesus told US to heal the sick.

Did Jesus tell us to make sure that the rich were always well-provided-for, because as long as the rich people were happy, the poor would always be okay? NO!

Now, of the two political parties, neither one is particularly stellar on taking care of the poor, but there is one whose record is just a little bit better on that score.

Personally, I think Jesus would give both men a bad grade, but one would get a D-, where the other would get an F. I'll leave the math as an exercise to the student.

If you don't vote then you have no right to complain if you don't like the winner.

Actually, Justcuz, I know what you're getting at here. When I step into a booth and cast my vote, my vote doesn't go to Obama, Romney, or whomever I put down, but it goes to my state delegate of whichever candidate I choose, who then votes for the candidate.

However, on the ballot, it's not the delegate's name, it's the candidates. So, while technically you're correct, in the U.S. we use the parlance of "voting for" as a short-hand to mean "selecting the delegate for," and we all understand the system.

I know that may be confusing to a foreigner such as yourself, especially such a young-un as yourself, so I'm correcting you in love.
