I didn’t write this article. I just posted it. Now if it doesn’t bother you that military are training over our cities with the police force because they need to train in the environment where they are possibly going to fight then ok, but it bothers me. Our Country is 16 trillion in debt, like 4 cities in California has gone bankrupt, tensions are high in America so yes it bothers me.

No, military training around our cities does not bother me, because I used to be in the military. Ever heard of the SWAT team? They train with military members, so that they can use military procedures against terrorists. Ever heard of terrorism? What happens to you if the ONE city in our nation that did not have terrorist protection or training just became the target for multiple terrorist attacks? What if you were living in that city? Good luck, because the military won't be there to help you, nor will your untrained police force. The conspiracy will then evolve into the military being the true terrorists who are attacking your city, right?

Here's the main thing you guys have to remember: Military members are American citizens just like you are. They have the same worries, fears, and problems that every other American citizen has. If there came a point in time where civil unrest was at an extreme level, and for some insane reason our constitution was shattered and the military tried taking over for martial law, who would be those military members? They are American citizens, who probably would have the same views as the rest of the public. Do you honestly think, if unrest was THAT bad, that they would go along with some dictatorship government and allow the martial law? The generals, admirals, and other high ranking officers are also citizens, and I doubt they would agree to such a command.

Most military members are there for a patriotic duty to protect the lives and lively-hood of America and its people. The military isn't there to hurt its own public. This isn't like Julius Caesar marching into Rome with his legions, and replacing the Republic with an Emperor/Dictatorship. We are in the year 2012 AD, not in the year 800 BC. Also, until the country becomes fascist or the bolshevik revolution occurs in the USA, I don't see ourselves allowing the next Nazi or Communist state either. You are definitely more worried than you should be.

As a matter of fact I took the pleasure of notifying a Moderator of the excessive threads you are making. If they see it is excessive then I am sure they will take care of... until then I will not enter the NEws forum unless I am wearing me tin foil hat.

s8519 -- Hitler had plenty of people that were willing to come with him. Did you know our military is infiltrated with gangs now? We know we have Muslim extremist in also. “ Fort Hood “

Again the have been training for 10 years in Iraq. They should know how to do this.

I'm sorry I dont tend too post in the forms but to say there are "Muslim extremist" in the military strikes a cord with me. There are "extremist" of all sorts that serve their country and I know your just trying too get people mad but I dont see your point in pointing out the Muslim community almost every community in the military has its fringe groups that are a bit over board. And on the matter of the 10 year thing in Iraq is true for maybe like 5% of the current service members. Alot of people who were on the ground in the sand have left too go on and live their lives out side the military. So in order for the military to keep up too date with urban combat is too train, and training around a city is just fine in order too make sure the training sticks...
