It seems that there has been nothing whatsoever that has happened because of the law change, military esprit de corp remains the same, the number of people kicked out for being gay is down to zero and the sky has not fallen.

Many of the same reasons used to justify racial segregation were used during the discussion about gays and in neither case did the dire predictions come true.
Seems the opponents of gays in the military simply lied about potential problems. Official reports indicate that gays are just like other soldiers and sailors except for that single issue and they are now well integrated into military life. Truth is that there has always been gays in the military just with the potential risk they might be found out and kicked out. With the new law that will not happen.

Exactly! Why deny someone from serving the country they love because of the gender of the person they want to marry? It's archaic and I'm glad we did away with it.
