Is He not on your side? I know He is on mine and I pray that he is on yours.
I was not using "our" to speak of individual Christians.

I was speaking of how you imply in your post that God is a "Patriotic American" rootin' for America, hopin' the "bad guys" go down.

I never said that the USA promotes freedom in other countries. I said that our troops fight for our freedom.
You don't think it's wrong to acquire privileged, at the expense of others?

How many dictators has the United States put in power?

I'm praying for you.
I hope you're not saying what it looks like you're saying.

I haven't seen the video and really don't care. But to comment on our Flag. I truly believe that the Flag represents some many things that our country believes in. I will gladly stand up for the flag and our country, and proudly defend it. When I see the our flag at a ceremony or in parade. I get chills because I know that many of my brethren have given the ultimate sacrifice to defend this country and its people. It also represent this country which gives its people the right to voice there thoughts right or wrong.

I'm not even an Obama supporter, and I even get tired of junk like this.
You don't have to be an Obama supporter to realize a lot of the rhetoric against him is poppycock.

I feel the same way about a lot of the stuff they said about Bush. They were making fun of his funny "Bush-isms" and the funny way he talked. That didn't bother me. A president doesn't have to be eloquent. It bothered me because it was taking attention away from the real issues, and there were plenty of things to criticize about Bush without resorting to Middle-School teasing.

It's the same with this. If the only thing you can come up with against Obama is a racial slur of his "questionable" birth, you're not paying attention.

I don't think God "takes sides," as it were. I think God loves all his children, and wishes that all would love and serve him in return.

I think Jesus "takes sides" insofar as he represents us before God on the judgment day. It even says this in Scripture. But as far as "God is on my side" like in wars and stuff .... I don't buy it.

I'm praying for you.
And I for you.

I think you are putting more into what I am saying then what is there. And yes I am praying that The Lord will reveal to you my true intentions and not what you are reading into it.

God Bless.

God "takes sides" per se.

Ps. 1:6
For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous,
but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.

It's a little presumptuous to assume America is not under judgement though.

I never said America was not under judgement. I said I am thankful for our troops sacrifice.

yeah, me I am not voting for anyone. They both stink in my eyes.
why would you?,,,is Christ not your king?,,they do not forsake you,the king,,they seek after another,,"king to rule over them",,,,,,,it is a peculiar thing in the scripture,,"speak not evil of the ruler over you,,,they both stink in my eyes,,,",,,,,but this is not an pun,,,,who is your king?,,,to all the earth,,and also Israel it is always been so,,,if you do not obey,,the king,,,a wicked king will rule over you,,,the Egyptian, the Assyrian, the Babylonian the Me do Persian, the Greek, the roman,,,you will be scattered to Spain, and Germany,,and the through all the nations you who do not bow to the king, you will bow to another,,,,
And for an while this was so,,but after a while there came up another nation and she said "i will have no king over me",,,though she had a king called abandon or Appollon,,you may vote or you may choose,,,,i have no choice,,,,i am brought into subjection the the king,,,i am an sinner and need be handed over to his measure which is grace,,i am bound to his law i cannot go gee nor haw,,,but you may seek another king if you like,,,you are free,,you are not bound unto god,,,yea you are free,,,, you may refuse the king the father is appointed over you,,,,,you may vote for another,,,i will remain under the king set above me,,i will not speak evil of the ruler appointed over me,,,his term is not four years or eight,,,he is the king the father set above me ,i will remain,,,,,you may choose another,,,,,,,

I am on a couple local hometown political pages on Facebook. To see these people go at it, call people stupid. Flat out insult and condemn people because they differ in political views is honestly sickening.
For some people to be hard core right wing or hard core left wing kind of tells me they vote for the party, and not the person. They don't care about the "issues" but will argue them because that is what their particular party says about the opponent.

For instance... many Reps are pro-life, but I am guessing that many hard core Reps have no clue what Romney's view is. It isn't technically "pro-life" he actually agrees with Obama on the abortion issue as far as what would be acceptable reasons for abortion(rape and incest).

Anyway, that isn't what this topic is about. I just can't wait til the election is over so people can go back to liking each other again.

I agree with you that they both "stink", but not voting isn't good.
I'm voting by filling-in a name. I haven't decided yet what name I will fill in. I was thinking about filling in "Jesus Christ" for a while, even though he certainly isn't eligible to serve (he wasn't born in the US). I might fill in Bartlett (from West Wing). Yes, a fictional character would be better than EITHER of these bozos.

If Romney had chosen Ron Paul as a running mate, that ticket would have a good chance of winning. I doubt Paul would have accepted, though. Who knows, maybe Romney did ask him.

If I lived in one of the "swing" states, where it's close, I might actually "hold my nose," as they say, and vote for Obama, just because he is better than Romney. The two are identical on foreign policy (which sucks and is far from Christ-like), and Obama's economic policy is better, both practically, as far as what is already working to turn this recession around, and also as far as what is a more Christian action to take, economically.

I am starting to understand why people don't vote.

I think you should seek an explanation. I have a feeling that because English is not her native language, the English word "hate" is the closest that she knows. I won't speak for her though.

Caroline. I think he is referring to Michelle Obama. I know it is still wrong to hate anyone since the bible tells us not to hate. Maybe he does have trouble interpreting to English??

Jimmy. Why don't you try living in Iraq or one of the many countries that do not enjoy the freedom the USA does then you will understand the meaning of freedom that we have here. Is there a reason that you must attack my answers? I am not here to debate. I am here to love, honor, and serve my God. Why don't you share your view instead of attacking others point of view?
Weird he cant give his opinion without being called a attack if you go by that logic what youre doing is also a attack on his point of view.
