Yes, folks, that is what she said, according to an instructor at a School for the Deaf and Blind who watched the video. The video is shown at normal speed, 3/4 speed, and 1/2 speed with no banners obstructing her lips.

It should come as no surprise that she and Barack have no clue about America's reverence for, nor reference to, our flag, or that both want to eliminate all memorials and ceremonies commemorating the 9/11 attacks.

this is a video on youtube of obamas wife saying "all that for a damn flag" to the President who nods His head in agreement with her. I think this needs to get passed around so everyone can see it.

I'm with Nautilus. I'd like to see what it was she was commenting on. If it was a soldiers funeral, then yes, outrage is the proper response. We don't even know if it's an American flag she's referring to. Context, folks. This could be over a state flag, or a group flag (boy scouts or something).

No its more then just a piece of cloth, it represents Hope in Freedom and it represents America's backbone. When we lose pride in our Flag, we will be doomed.
You could be right grugediva, and if that were the case I would feel really sorry for them that this film got out before election day. Maybe she was meant to be caught on tape saying it thou *grinz*

So you need a visual representation of hope and freedom in order to have it? If thats the case then I say to you and those with a similar view that your personal value of hope and freedom must be weak, especially if it all hinges on a flag.

First off, this video has been in circulation for a while now.
While her lip movements do correspond with alleged saying that proves absolutely nothing.
A lot of word formation is hidden inside the mouth. Just because it LOOKS like that is what she is saying doesn't mean she is saying that.
Example. Say "colorful" and "i love you"... your lip movement is the same.

It also looks like she may have said "I wonder if they flew that flag" or "It's amazing how they fold that flag"

This video is nothing more than guesswork and pure garbage.

BTW, the River School in DC where it is said the instructor translated her lip movement ....does not teach lip reading.

The River School did make this statement though.

“Please be advised that The River School was not involved in any translation services for a recent video clip currently circulating on the Internet.”

While it is very true that the video is probably a fake, I still do support the fact that our flag stands for the freedom that so many brave men and women have lost their lives for and continue to do so. Yes God should be first and center of everything that we do including war but let us not forget our troops! I am forever great full for their sacrifices and commitment and this is what the flag represents. Tell a Christian that has lost a husband, wife or child in war that the flag is not important. They will tell you that God is first in their lives but the flag represents the freedom tht we have and the freedom that their loved one died for for all.

Wrong, our pride is to be in the Father, His Son. To put our pride in anything but our God and our Lord is unrighteous; and in the end, it will only lead to arrogance and destruction. So if anything, one will be doomed for putting pride IN a flag, not the contrary.

Jimmy. Why don't you try living in Iraq or one of the many countries that do not enjoy the freedom the USA does then you will understand the meaning of freedom that we have here. Is there a reason that you must attack my answers? I am not here to debate. I am here to love, honor, and serve my God. Why don't you share your view instead of attacking others point of view?

The only freedom I have is in Christ.


I am thankful for the earthly privileges he has granted me, but I am not delusional about the nature of those privileges. They do not come from government, ultimately.

The American Flagg is an idol, and the americans are worshipping a false God. Maybe its time to stop worshipping a flag, at least if you claim to be a christian.

Yes I read what you posted and I agree that our freedom to serve The Lord and earn our "Hevanly Citizenship" is of utmost importance. But I am also grateful for the fact that I've been allowed to live in a country that supports its troops and their efforts to keep our freedom alive.
Again, God should always be first even when it comes to war as He is the one who protects and brings out troops home safely when He sees fit and allows us to keep the freedom of religion that we express here among other freedoms.
I'm simply stating that I am thankful for the brave men and women that fight for our freedoms. I hope many others are appreciative as well.

I find it interesting that you imply God is "on our side".

The United States does not have a good record of promoting "Freedom" in other countries, just so you know.
