Video of Ryan pretending to wash dishes at closed soup kitchen

10/15/2012 7:00pm by John Aravosis 13 Comments Print
In the annals of fakery, this certainly ranks up there.
It seems Paul Ryan stopped by an already-empty and cleaned soup kitchen for a whopping 15 minutes, during which he and his family donned aprons and pretended to clean already-clean dishes while the media dutifully snapped photos, the Washington Post reports.
The soup kitchen president, an independent who relies of private donations for the non-partisan charity, was none too pleased with the Romney/Ryan campaign. Not only did the campaign not have permission to drop by for a photo opp, but the photo opp was a fake. The Ryan clan only pretended to clean dishes.
“The photo-op they did wasn’t even accurate. He did nothing.

It fits so well with the 47% video of Romney speaking extemporaneously, they are both totally fake.

Already that Gospel Mission has lost numerous contributors who when they discovered Ryan had been allowed to film there withdrew their support. I sincerely hope that they can stay in business because their service is important to many people.

There isnt much to pray about on this one. Everything she stated was true, even the owner/head of the soup kitchen said ryan being there was just a photo-op nothing more.

Lydia do you suggest prayer that Ryan and Romney finally realize what they have done to this Gospel Mission project, and repent? It might also require them to concede the election to Obama.

No I'm suggesting that we pray for others regardless if we disagree with them. You haven't seen me bashing and posting tons of links about the negatives of Obama, there are tons of them out there which are crediable. I choose to pray for him as instructed in God's Word. I do believe God wants us to pray for the ones we disagree with. Prayer is a POWERFUL thing!!! :) My God is so Awesome!

Guess it proves I'm not perfect, pls excuse and forgive the typo. :) This is getting a bit out of control when someone attacks someone over a Candidate with insults in a Christian Forum over a typo. Instead of the issue that was talked about which is Praying for someone we disagree with. I choose praying for someone instead of insulting anyday. Prayer is POWERFUL! :)

Rather than just blowing up the board with Left-biased articles and trying to promote your cause, I would sincerely love to know your thoughts on how some of these issues relate to our faith, or what we can draw from these articles to become stronger in our walk with Christ. Perhaps we can promote some edification in addition to all the think progress headlines?

"CORRECTION: Mahoning County St. Vincent De Paul Society President Brian Antal has since said that the Washington Post mischaracterized his statements, and that Paul Ryan did clean dirty dishes, according to NBCNEWS.com. He attributes his previous story to an incorrect second-hand account."

found at the bottom of this article... Paul Ryan's Soup Kitchen Campaign Visit, Photo-Op Criticized (PHOTOS) [CORRECTION]

If you saw the video it was clear that the pans were clean already regardless of what else was said. The whole kitchen had been cleaned before he got there obvious to anyone familiar with kitchens.

Or maybe she just didn't see she made the typo. Everyone's computers and internet works differently. Spell check might not be on on here for her.

But yeah...criticizing someone over the fact they accidentally put an A in "Credible" is kinda uncalled for. I might like to spell things correctly but I'm not gonna say, "You have lack of knowledge because you don't spell this or that correctly."

So funny about lack of knowlege and spelling.... hummmm I am concerned about the poor soup kitchen. They lost supporters/funding?From who? Who approved Ryan to go there? I think the person who approved Ryan to show up should loose their job and go to work for Accorn or Acorn..... I cant spell This is horrable or is it horrible ? oh sorry for lack of knowlege due to my spelling ..... LOL

what a joke.
