"A federal judge in Santa Monica ruled on Monday against a church group's right to reopen a nativity scene display in a public park.

The ruling comes after a contentious battle between the church group and one prominent atheist in the area, Damon Vix."

On a side note, this last month or two the Christian News section has exploded with stories (credit mostly stillwaters I see).

Let the church display the nativity on their own property. Done. Ive never why this becomes an issue every holiday season.

It's an issue every holiday season because it's not real. They pull out some hack yellow journalism job from 30 years ago that was questionable from the start, re-dress it to make it seem that it's referring to the current year, and get everyone all frothy about "those awful atheists who are persecuting us Christians."

There's not a lick of truth to any of those claims, and I'm embarrassed sometimes to be a Christian when so many Christians fall for this dirty trick every year.
