Pentagon lifts ban on women in combat

Our nation is not depraved of military numbers of men in combat; no one is presenting the facts to this as being true! we do not need women to add to gun to gun hand to hand fighting, this is political and damaging to our dear and precious women ladies mothers families and overburdening our female citizens and culture.
Protect our ladies our women and our mothers our families we men have had this as our heart issue and willing to lay our lives down for them not for a tyrannical constitutional stomping president. What now joining the premise that a president tramples over the constitutional process of our rights ignores the vow He made now takes away citizens’ rights to bear arms opens the door to our prize ladies and women and mothers and families to take arms instead of the citizens so He can build His army to control us? War's extreme stress and trauma greatly damages men now open the door to the women? Yes, we have a great heart to protect our ladies and women mother’s and families but as much damage it does in combat to the mental and emotional and physical hearts and souls i vote not to subject our precious women to these great horrors. I am not convinced that a great number of women are of the same make up it is obvious but protect all the women who care and nurture children and families husbands from debilitating emotional physical and mental horrific trauma.

No media or reports that a majority or any sizeable amount of women have expressed or demonstrated that this is their desire or want.Only Panetta and a few Military leaders are saying they want women to fight in battle. So if the ladies and women and mothers want to express their desire to go into combat please respond.

Being very straight forward if they can do all the heavy lifting and required work of a male soldier then they would be a perfect asset to the army, if they can do the work they should be allowed into the army.

Of the ladies God has designed men's hearts and evident through History notone nation opened their hearts for women to be common war hand to hand gun togun fighters, God has put it into the hearts of men to protect the women their powerand domain is to nurture protect instill hearts of children and their husband and all men the fertile groundof the seeds of the fruit of the Holy Spirit, The world leaders are not underthe heart of God when they take so much political and financial decisions thatignore God and His design of the heart and soul of Ladies He formed and made. Thisis progressive and unless restraint it will continue to the maximum grief tothe heart of God twisting and perverting the design and purposes of God for theLadies.

I don't understand why anyone would have a problem with this. The thing that changed is women are now allowed to fight in the "front lines", but from my understanding there aren't front lines in modern warfare. The laws which prevent women from doing this don't necessarily save their lives (over 350 women have died in Afghanistan and Iraq thus far), but rather made it more difficult for them to advance their military careers.

Come on, guys. It's the 21st century. Women are just as capable as men. Now don't get me wrong, if a woman doesn't reach the requirements (weight, strength, whatever) then of course she shouldn't serve, but the same applies to men.

Pro:

1. If people really want to fight, more power to 'em.

2. Female infantrymen have occasionally proven to be assets in certain historical situations. Consider the brilliant females of the Soviet Union who hunted Nazis as though the little goose-steppers were Siberian Elk.

3. I've known women who make Battlestar Galactica's Starbuck look like a daisy.

4. The military is already such a mess that any experimentation is welcome.

Con:

1. As par a friend of mine in the marines, the women who have attempted hard-core infantry roles would often not make the cut in terms of basic physical requirements and basic performance testing. So there is an argument that if the military allows women to join enmasse, you will likely have a lowering in said performance requirements.

2. The social makeup of the military would be unalterably screwed with in terms of inter-troop relations on the front. To me, this is the most compelling point as it introduces complexity and provable psychological/biological factors into the equation.

The Marine Corps surveyed 53,000 troops last summer, with the results provided to Defense Secretary Leon Panetta before he opened thousands of combat positions to women last week.
The Marine Corps released the results to The Associated Press on Friday.Among the other top concerns listed by male Marines were possible fraternization and preferential treatment of some Marines.
Respondents also worried that women would be limited because of pregnancy or personal issues that could affect a unit before it's sent to the battlefield.
About 17 percent of male Marine respondents and 4 percent of female respondents who planned to stay in the service or were undecided said they would likely leave if women move into combat positions. That number jumped to 22 percent for male Marines and 17 percent for female Marines if women are assigned involuntarily to those jobs, according to the survey.
Both sexes mentioned intimate relationships between Marines and feeling obligated to protect female Marines among their top five concerns about the change. The women surveyed also expressed concern about acceptance and physical abilities if given a ground combat job. They said the Pentagon is bent on imposing gender-based quotas that will drive down standards.
The results that are being put out there are designed to manage public perception.
The infantry side is skeptical about how women will perform in their units, and some positions may end up closed again if too few females meet the physically demanding standards of combat, said Gen. James Amos, head of the Marine Corps, who spoke to reporters Thursday at a defense conference in San Diego. Female Marines also said they worried about being targeted by enemies as POWs, the risk of sexual harassment or assault, and hygiene facilities, according to the survey, which did not give specifics.
About 7 percent of Marines are female compared to about 14 percent overall for the armed forces.
Both sexes surveyed said getting women closer to the action will improve their career opportunities. So what is blinding to the political government Controlling Officals is the lure of career so as to ignore basic diffeences and sanctity of the heart and souls of our precious women. It is about mostly ignore the unique women and her gift of ministry to the natural soul nurturing power of miracles of children and to the men to protect and supply in giving healthy psysce to guard and raise our posterity, This is not God's design or nature He did not recruit any women to fight in the army of Israel although today they are availble because of the dire need and threat they are under where it is not anywhere in the world, but this is still not justified before the Lord, It is time for Israel to know that the Lord is their defense and that all of their efforts can not protect them as it is written.
