Last time I read Matthew 5:10-16, it stated that “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when people revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you."

Nowhere in scripture is the opposite stated, that the immoral will be rewarded for being persecuted because of their immoral lives.

Nowhere in scripture is it stated that persecutors of the righteous will be blessed. In fact, the opposite is true if they don't repent.

Nowhere in scripture is preaching repentance from sin with a right heart condemned but in many places it is blessed.

Don't get in the way of God's discipline because then you are working against God though you can interact with God on behalf of an evildoer. Don't become an enabler of evil and immoral behavior cosigning and spreading immorality because that is evil all by itself.

Yes. I agree with you that persecuting people is sinful. And you can say that persecuting an immoral person for their immorality is as evil as persecuting a moral person for not engaging in immorality if you like. I get it though in the latter case there are rewards not available in the former. But one must be careful not to falsely accuse genuine Christians when they spread the Gospel in love as persecuting simply because they call for people to repent from sin.

Exactly, and that is why I said "That's take a look at how it looks to people who don't share you position." I would think most people who believe in what was referenced above would, or at least logically should, take the position you are.

I get it though in the latter case there are rewards not available in the former.
There are rewards for both in terms of the memetic frequencies positively effecting a society's health. However, from a biblical perspective I agree with you.
