So they have their missiles up and ready. I know we can shoot them down if they launch, but does anyone know what the retaliation will be on our part? Will we launch missiles to them?

No one wins a nuclear war.... I wish powerhungry leaders could get that into their heads :(
I pity the people who live under that regime, but the problem is that no matter what is done, and how, it is the innocents who will have to pay the price.

well I dont see the USA ever useing Nukes on them. even if they did launch one themselves ( North K ) .. The US has other weapons that are just as destructive at this point.

Not sure if this makes any sense, but, they did put a Satellite in space. Im no expert , but why cant they just put a bomb on that and throw it from space ?

maybe its more technical then that. Recently the North K Satellite did pass over the east cost of the US.. If they can get a Satellite in space, that means they can at least reach California .

they arent stupid enough o actually do it. Its mostly just posturing on their part. They know that they would be utterly annihilated.

I don't expect unpredictable people to be predictable.

A missile of any type would either bounce off of the Earth's atmosphere or burn up almost instantly. Now lasers on the other hand...

Unfortunately, that's what happens when idiot dictators are mad about their new hair-cuts.

Because we're starving them out trying to force them to play nice with the world.

We have to remember that our news is painting us a picture to cover the true picture...

whenever they drag out 20 year old loops of military parades in N Korea, you know they're up to something in some other place they don't want us looking at.

i'm guessing AFRICOM antics, and Syria/Iran.

kinda like the OJ Simpson trial kept every tv occupied for the Bosnia/Herzegovina/Serbian thing.

Guys I live in Korea at the moment, and the S Koreans aren't even concerned one bit. They are so used to this guy making threats that it is all just a bunch of hot air, like the boy who cried wolf. I've been here for 3 years and I am part of the group who thinks he isn't going to be bombing anyone! Kim Jung Un JUST got into power, he's young, do you really think he is going to give up his rock star status over a war that would decimate his country and collapse his regime the moment it started? No way.

I agree that i doubt he will try anything with the United States, but still there is some risk when you threaten a super power with a nuke. Even China has said the strongest and most negative comments about Kim Jung Un to date. He seems to be bringing shame and disgrace on himself.

I was talking to my brother, who has spent more than 5 years in South Korea as a US Army Lt. Col. about Kim Jung Un. He said "For a North Korean missile to hit Guam would be lucky, to hit Hawaii would be double lucky and to hit Los Angeles would be triple lucky." Although I disagree with his term "lucky" I do agree it is remote.

After being on this chatboard for awhile I have decided it isn't a required to make sense. LOL
So .......I suppose since he is unpredictable and full of self power that is what really makes him dangerous. He is banging on his chest like Tarzan, but we all know there are some crazy dictators now and in the past. The unpredictability is what concerns me.
