The Pentagon has released a statement confirming that soldiers could be prosecuted for promoting their faith: "Religious proselytization is not permitted within the Department of Defense...Court martials and non-judicial punishments are decided on a case-by-case basis...”.
The statement, released to Fox News, follows a Breitbart News report on Obama administration Pentagon appointees meeting with anti-Christian extremist Mikey Weinstein to develop court-martial procedures to punish Christians in the military who express or share their faith.
(From our earlier report: Weinstein is the head of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, and says Christians--including chaplains--sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ in the military are guilty of “treason,” and of committing an act of “spiritual rape” as serious a crime as “sexual assault.” He also asserted that Christians sharing their faith in the military are “enemies of the Constitution.”)
Being convicted in a court martial means that a soldier has committed a crime under federal military law. Punishment for a court martial can include imprisonment and being dishonorably discharged from the military.
So President Barack Obama’s civilian appointees who lead the Pentagon are confirming that the military will make it a crime--possibly resulting in imprisonment--for those in uniform to share their faith. This would include chaplains—military officers who are ordained clergymen of their faith (mostly Christian pastors or priests, or Jewish rabbis)--whose duty since the founding of the U.S. military under George Washington is to teach their faith and minister to the spiritual needs of troops who come to them for counsel, instruction, or comfort.
This regulation would severely limit expressions of faith in the military, even on a one-to-one basis between close friends. It could also effectively abolish the position of chaplain in the military, as it would not allow chaplains (or any service members, for that matter), to say anything about their faith that others say led them to think they were being encouraged to make faith part of their life. It’s difficult to imagine how a member of the clergy could give spiritual counseling without saying anything that might be perceived in that fashion.
In response to the Pentagon’s plans, retired Lt. Gen. Jerry Boykin, who is now executive vice president of the Family Research Council (FRC), said on Fox & Friends Wednesday morning:
It’s a matter of what do they mean by "proselytizing." ...I think they’ve got their defintions a little confused. If you’re talking about coercion that’s one thing, but if you’re talking about the free exercise of our faith as individual soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines, especially for the chaplains, they I think the worst thing we can do is stop the ability for a soldier to be able to exercise his faith.”
FRC has launched a petition here which has already collected over 30,000 signatures, calling on Secretary Hagel is stop working with Weinstein and his anti-Christian organization to develop military policy regarding religious faith.

The FRC petition has now exceeded more than 40,000 signatures at the time of this update.

There is a war around us. and we as Christians have to be on the side of God: that means standing up and letting people/government know this is wrong for radicals in the government to persecute Christians and people on mass how to believe and think and act. That is not freedom that is dictatorship and censorship of our basic human rights. That may be okay to do that in other countries. But we should have freedom to believe and express are faith when and where we want., And No one should be allowed to pass any kind of law anywhere in this country saying otherwise.

The First Amendment

In the United States, the religious civil liberties are guaranteed by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.



The Fourteenth Amendment

The Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution guarantees the religious civil rights.[7] Whereas the First Amendment secures the free exercise of religion, section one of the Fourteenth Amendment prohibits discrimination, including on the basis of religion, by securing "the equal protection of the laws" for every person:
“ All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws. ”

So the Government is Not allowed; to restrict our rights to worship/believe as we want. The separation comes into play , that the Government can Not, force others into any" state forced" religion :

And that is in effect what they are doing. They are not abiding by the separation, and crossing the line, telling people how to or not to worship. No one in the gov was ever allowed to do that. It go's against our God given rights.

God is who those individuals will have to face for it in the not too distance future.

Its against company policies to prosletize(sp?) at most jobs nowadays...why should this be any different? The military is a job.

Religious persecution, even in the U.S., doesn't surprise me,
but I tend not to believe anything until I see verifiable evidence... documentation.

Its against company policies to prosletize(sp?) at most jobs nowadays...why should this be any different? The military is a job.
This mans useage of "proselytize" is not applicable to the situation of simply sharing the faith with someone,.. Needless to say, it's the forces of Satan and his Antichrist at work here, they are succeeding in silencing the message. But for how long?

I think the soldiers should be able to do what they like inside their ranks but not outside.

The Uniform Code of Military Justice is the law by which all military members must abide by. It is unfortunate but these laws are completely sesperate and are not bound by the Constitution of the United States. When a member enlists they agree to follow the UCMJ and forfeit their civil rights and liberties.

Yes its always that great mythical beast the antichrist lurking behind every corner...I wonder if some people here dont use that as they boogeyman to get their kids to go to sleep. GO TO BED BILLY! Otherwise you know the Antichrist and his new world order are going to come out of your closet and get you...
