Armed Rebels Massacre Entire Population of Christian Village in Syria

Armed rebels attacked a village in Syria's Western province of Homs and slaughtered all its Christian residents on Monday. The armed rebels affiliated to the Free Syrian Army (FSA) raided the Christian-populated al-Duvair village in Reef (outskirts of) Homs near the border with Lebanon today and massacred all its civilian residents, including women and children.
The Syrian army, however, intervened and killed tens of terrorists during heavy clashes which are still going on in al-Duvair village.

The armed rebels' attack and crimes in al-Duvair village came after they sustained heavy defeats in al-Qusseir city which has almost been set free by the Syrian army except for a few districts.
Syria has been experiencing unrest since March 2011 with organized attacks by well-armed gangs against Syrian police forces and border guards being reported across the country.
Hundreds of people, including members of the security forces, have been killed, when some protest rallies turned into armed clashes.
The government blames outlaws, saboteurs, and armed terrorist groups for the deaths, stressing that the unrest is being orchestrated from abroad.
In October 2011, calm was almost restored in the Arab state after President Assad started a reform initiative in the country, but Israel, the US and its Arab allies sought hard to bring the country into chaos through any possible means. Tel Aviv, Washington and some Arab capitals have been staging various plots to topple President Bashar al-Assad, who is well known in the world for his anti-Israeli st

Yes. But they will be portrayed as "extremists" and not affiliated with the Free Syrian Army, when infact they are the same.

Current conflict in Syria is basically Sunni v Shia Muslims, who basically like to kill each other whenever they can all over world, the only time they stop killing each other is when they kill Christians and Westerners or the local populace if they are trying to take over a country, such as Nigeria and just recently succeded in carving out Northern Sudan for themsleves, leaving the Christians with worthless soil to the South, well that is the few who still have not been slaughtered in Darfur.

That is the shame of this entire debacle. In this war the guaranteed losers are Christians and third party groups caught in the crossfire or unfortunate enough to survive it to watch their property taken and family butchered.

The best we can do is pray for our brothers and sisters.

The Arab Spring and all of these other islamist revolutions have been bad news for Americans and Christians alike, more uniquely for the Christians. It is sad, that this country's government wants to get in bed with this sort of force.

Think about it. in our gov's eyes more rouge states controlled by dem evil doers is a good thing. those with defense contracts and such get to make even more money. And the gov can use the new terrorist regimes as a reason to take more rights away

There is no shame .. they can kill the bodies of the Christian, but never their spirit, they have hope, if they are killed, they are with the Lord. No matter what, we have hope. I agree, we do need to pray for our brothers and sisters.

the lamest political commentary on Syria i've seen.
but when we take it down to the lowest common denominator - yep - it's dem muslims.

in spite of the paragraph just prior telling you who is responsible for 60,000 deaths (and counting) in Syria.
but we'll skip right over that and make it arab on arab, with nuthin' added.
everybody else is just standing around, kinda?

This is awful! It's the same thing that happened in Egypt and Libya--the U.S. instigates an uprising and all minority groups are slaughtered. In Egypt it was the Coptic Christians, in Libya the black Africans, and now Syria's Christians are being killed.

If this is even reported on in the mainstream media, it'll be blamed on Assad without proof, just like everything else bad has been. >_<

Our Christian brothers and sisters are being tortured, maimed, killed and truly persecuted all over the world. We must continue to pray for them. It is only a matter of time before that type of persecution starts in America.
